Well, this didn’t come out as I had expected. Anyway, I finally returned a copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer to the school library, after about 2-3 months after its due date. I expected more criticism and questioning, like “why didn’t you return this three months ago?” or “You know, you should take better responsibility for the books you borrow” and stuff like that, but the librarian didn’t really say anything. And it turned out to be only a dollar, even though it was three months. I guess they don’t count weekends, holidays, and non-school-days when doing the “five cents for every day after its due date” system.
In other news, in art class today, we had to start off drawing an organic object, and in six steps, transform it into something else. I turned a pinecone into Patchy. It was awesome. Too bad I don’t have a camera or anything that can take photos.
My school library never charged me once, even if I borrowed the book for a whole school year. As long as they have it back in the end, I don’t get charged.
I found her easy to recognize. I thought “hey, that looks like patchy” about 1 frame before “Hey, you seem familiar…”
Although I thought the direction would be “Nameless character hallucinates danmaku against the unwitting librarian who has no idea what the frick she’s doing”, as opposed to “Patchy’s invading our libraries!”
Ya know, I think it’s a sure bet that if you checked out a book and never took it back for most of your entire life, That you could probably pay the late fee with less than one quarter of one month’s retirement check.
You should totally just nab a book you like and keep it at that rate. :3

Blargh my middle school library charged me $12 for a book that I returned. I never went to that library again (except for required textbooks and such)

My record is currently 16 years over due. Got a Garfield book when I was 5. Been on the run since then. It was the first book so it’s been worth it.

For my school library, I checked out liek one book for the whole year.
I have to pay $1 for every day overdue to a maximum of $5 :
