Just yesterday when I was riding the subway, some musical performers came in and started playing loud music, and there was a kid sitting nearby who covered her ears and complained to her mother about the noise. Somehow, I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen anyone publicly express their dislike of subway performers right in front of them.
And then there are those performers who actually have to take the subway somewhere, and they sorta just sit down after they’re done performing rather than exiting the subway car and moving on to the next one. That’s even more awkward. Especially if they sit right next to you, or somewhere nearby. Actually, it’s also annoying when they stand right next to you while they sing or dance or whatever they do.
However, I’ve never actually seen any subway performers/beggars get annoyed that they’re not getting any money, though I guess no one really has an obligation to give them anything (especially since there are lots of ads on the subway that basically say “don’t give money to people on the subway”). Anyway, I don’t like it.
First to not donate _anything_ to disgruntled Miko’s. p_p;
*inserts money into donation box*
That was a nice flash and I learned something new today. I’ve never seen subway performers/beggars before (probably cause I don’t take the subway often), but I can see how it’s annoying. And hey, after a long time lurking walfas I finally post something.
Well, when I saw Reimu I was like “Oh, no ;_;” This made me sad, I don’t know why.
Reimu, why do you need money anyway?
Poor, poor Reimu… I blame society *giving a coin, a giant lint that resembles a FOE and some expired coupons*
wow nice song reimu, do u have an alubm it’s a good way 2 get money u know
I foresaw Reimu on the frame just before she appeared. xD
I’ve never seen this on public transport here in England, although I don’t use it often. They seem to stick to stations (especially underground ones) or streets.
*Puts ¥2000 in box* Now please don’t kill me, miss crazy miko! ><;
I mean–
I was expecting Reimu to do Hax Sign after no one gave her money…
*drops some Rupees and ¥⑨000* Reimu must be respected.
I wasn’t expecting Reimu XD
Hmm … *donates 1 million yen* X3
Reimu getting donations?
No way! That’s impossible!
If Reimu were real, I’d give her the sun and the moon. My love would not be payable in monetary donations. Only universe-inhabited stars and celestial bodies would suffice.
If Reimu were real, I would probably donate a donation box.
Sure Reimu was angry xD
I think you’d actually get in trouble if you try to perform for money inside a train in Toronto. There’s always one inside the station entrance but i believe they got a specific location and a time slot reservation organized with the station manager. …so in a way, they’re kinda treated with respect here
Yeah, I don’t really approve of panhandlers. I’d donate to Reimu, but…well, that’s because she’s Reimu. Also, I can totally relate to your desire to avoid giving false hope.
If Reimu were real, I’d donate a pamphlet marked ‘HOW TO EMBEZZLE’ with some money.
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
poor reimu damn if its reimu in the real world she would have burn everyone in the train
I only donate if I feel they worked hard enough for it. Reimu needs more donations.
I usually wouldn’t give any coin to beggars, but wait i can give *me* if that’s about Reimu.
Here in France and especially in Paris subway. There are a lot of people who “play music while solliciting money”. They are often the same people on each subway line, it’s very annoying because you can hear the same guy several times a week. Plus, they have a music style which nobody likes…
Fortunately, there are some good suprises sometimes and some people are very talented. In that case I give them a coin.
I’d put my donations in her box if you know what I mean.
She sang this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwNIib1tS1g
I ;_;’d when she walked on.
No burning faces? Aww. Though I laughed when Reimu appeared :V
Its the official gensokyo train performer
:D
Hakurei Reimu
>w<
I always pretend not to notice them
but its hard
and i feel bad
so
i give them a dollar
:O
Was expecting [Hax Sign – Burn Everything].
*Gives Reimu some money*
Wait… so it’s bad to inspire false hope in people? Cuz i do that all the time and it feels great!
( ^ω^)つ⑩
( ^ω^)つ⑨
“hey, reimu, how much did you get from the Comments’ donators?”
“hmmm, OVER ⑨ THOUSAAAAAND!”
“no way! that’s impossible!”
In frame 16, the “Donations” text on Reimu’s box is backwards.
Just so ya know.
Yeah, I noticed that too, maybe KirbyM didn’t wanted to draw anot… No! I know it was because Reimu is so poor that could not cost a more realistic donation box! HUH? Funny isn’t it? No, really not funny XD
*forgets to put money in the donation box*
:TyrannoRexaur was mauled by Reimu‘s [Hax Sign – Burn Everything]
In my country busking is almost an institution. Not in the subway, though, but in the bus system.
For example, there are a group of players: two violins and a cello. They play awesome, and everybody lends them money.
But there’s also many awful players.
*drops 20 in the donation box*
*looks at reimu*
“Get A job Reimu”
lol that was funny hehehe
If Reimu were real, we’d all be bowing before her as our new Overload, in charge of the world.
Neko Miko Reimu… *continues singing*
That’s why it’s called the サーセン box.
REIMU.
I’ve been ‘attacked’ by buskers/panhandlers…it’s even more unnerving when I’ve nothing to give, except apples that I always carry. They sure like those apples…
Awesome! :P Needs more random fire. XD
Well, why not just give them some money? It’s what I do.
(Wonderful) “nono I dont have money” (but keep singing :p)
