Walfas 1-year Anniversary

Well, as of today, Walfas has been around for a year. It’s hard to imagine that it’s been around for that long, but it has! Over the course of the past year, I’ve made a bunch of stuff. The site started out as one of those random blogs about random things, but it turned into a random blog about random things… made in flash! That, and Youtube videos.

With over 140 daily flashes and almost 30 Touhou-based flashes, you can probably spend hours and not see everything there is to see (not to mention all the experimental flashes that aren’t even listed on the Flash page). I picked out some of the stuff I think is worth seeing, so if you’re relatively new to the site or haven’t seen these before, now would be a good time to do so. The rest of this blog post is pretty much a recap of the past year, and contains a ton of links.

Walfas Clay Models

Here are some clay models of the Walfas characters made by k0n (who also made another clay model here).

And this one of Unnamed Character was made about a week ago by A/L. And uhh… yeah.

Uhhh…

Well, I really don’t know what to post today, and I can’t find any interesting videos, so uhh… discuss something amongst yourselves!

Music

Oh boy, music! In other news, I changed the site background colors and banner for a more summery mood, although it may be a bit more “autumn” than “summer.” If you see any weird things going on with the colors, it’s probably just me changing them, and you can just refresh (ctrl+F5 if it still seems odd after a normal refresh). The banner comes from this wallpaper by Kazuhane. I’d probably use it as my wallpaper if the resolution were bigger.

Patchcone (And Unnamed Character clay model)

No create.swf update today, sorry. Guess I’ll do it tomorrow. Anyway, COMING UP LATER… PATCHCONE. STAY TUNED. I present to you… PATCHCONE! Yes, Patchcone, that pinecone transformation drawing I had to do in class on January 31st. We got our artwork back yesterday, since school is almost over (It’s still not over yet… sigh), so I decided to scan it. The image was drawn on a piece of paper that was too big for my scanner, so I had to split it up into four different parts. Then I decided I might as well trace over it in flash to make it look nicer. If you want to see the original scans, you can click on these links. When I get back one of my other art projects, I guess I’ll scan it and post it as well.

In other news, here is a clay model of Unnamed Character made by my internet friend k0n! Seriously, it’s awesome.
