The SAT prep guy is seriously hilarious. I cannot begin to describe it. So I won’t. Instead, I will talk about the PSATs, which I took today! It was kinda easy except there was one passage about a princess and some queen and the princess’s grandmother or whatever, and I was like “wtf are they talking about” and it was really boring and whatnot. I probably read over the passage like five times before I finally understood what was going on. And yeah. That’s it.

Is that actually true?
The part about writing anything as long as it answers the question that is.
According to that guy it is! And he gets paid to teach people about the SATs, so it has to be true! Apparently he also grades SATs and one time he read an essay where the topic was “the greatest griefs are those caused by ourselves” and some guy wrote about how his dad died of cancer and it felt bad but his brother killed someone in a drunk driving accident and if he were his brother he would feel a lot worse because he would be the one who caused the grief, and killing someone in a drunk driving accident would make you feel more grief than if your dad died of cancer or something.
And then the guy was like “after I got off the floor from laughing, I gave the guy an 11 (out of 12) on his essay, even though it was clearly made up.” Then someone was like “what if it actually happened?” and he was like “Well, if that actually happened, at least it gave him an 11 on his essay! If that happened to him and he wrote about it, I think he deserves an 11. Yeah, so if things happen to you, you can be like ‘YEAH, NOW I HAVE MORE THINGS TO WRITE ABOUT ON MY SAT ESSAY!'” Then he said some funny stuff and we all laughed for quite some time. Then we had to leave.

LOL! I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that panel.
I thought you took the psats last year so you wouldn’t take them this year :o
I lol’d hard.
AND CHRIS! YOU FEEBLE MINDED FOOL! YOU CAN NEVER TAKE TOO MANY PRESATS.
You and I were special cases, since we were able to go to psat’s in our sophomore year due to Academy Status, so it’s pretty normal for people to take their presats around their junior year.
If anyone else hasn’t taken their PSATs yet (I’m cool because I’m a sophomore and I took it), be sure to put a “:V” on the test book page that has the princess’s grandmother passage; I swear it was so boring, I couldn’t even RTFQ. Everything else was easy though.
…This blog feels like it needs more needs danmaku jokes.
Also, Wikipedia is a congregate of opinions. :V
Man, this blog frightens me how much it ties in with my life.
Except, I don’t have a cool PSAT instructor dude. Instead, I just got a student guide with a practice test in it. I’ll take that tomorrow when I feel less lazy.
Yeah I took my PSATs last year as a sophomore, like people usually do. But then we get to take it again as juniors, for whatever reason. I think most schools are like that also. I feel like I did a lot better on this one than I did on the one last year (I forgot what I got last year… I don’t think I really cared, actually).
We also got a student guide with a practice test about two weeks ago, and I got a 199 (out of 240) on that. I don’t have a PSAT instructor, because the PSATs don’t really count for anything unless you want a scholarship, and even so, you’d have to get like… the 99th percentile or something. I will be taking the actual SATs on December 1st, though… at like 7 in the morning.
I lol’d so hard at “Needs more danmaku”.
Heh heh, “Needs more danmaku. This gets a zero.” How funny.

I didn’t take the PSAT practice test and I think I did pretty poorly on the test. Oh well, wasted 20 dollars, whatever.
