1. “Touhou Sketches: Grimoire of Marisa”
Animation, such as it is, is choppy, but the character designs, storyboarding an direction are good. I’m surprised the music isn’t credited, but it sounds like a Marasy arrangement.
2. “Touhou Champloo”
Wow, I actually get the reference entirely for a change. Nice redone animation. I”m not sure if I agree with Aya being cast as Fuu, but I can’t solidly decide on anyone better.
3. “I Tried to Match Art to ‘Our Hisou Tensoku'”
A.k.a. the opening credits to Fantasy Squad Seirenger. Animation’s a wee bit too choppy, even for a ’70s pastiche, but it’s still not bad. Certainly all the great parody touches are more than enough to make up for any minor animation flaws. And I did indeed laugh out loud at froggy Suwako and Marisa’s 1-up ‘shroom. And for bonus points, the squiggle on Nitori’s hat is used as the middle character in “Saotome” (早乙女), the name of the head professor in the classic ’70s anime Getta Robo. She’s got the Go Nagai-style crazed eyes, too.
First one was good, like when things calm down for a change. The second one Awesome! all the way up XD
Third one just left me thinkin’ how good it would be to have one of those shows on TV these days.
I laughed out loud on Vid #2, pretty nice. and loved #1, #3’s wow.
So that gohei really was a katana. Never would have guessed. :P

1. Nice and cute.
2. I dunno Samurai Champloo, but kinda cool for what it was. Also, the music made me think of Earthbound.
3. Awesome. XD
Also, new Scarlet Weather Archive in Japanese Red, I guess.
1. Don’t get me wrong but I think people like it when Marisa naps.
2. It’s nice to get to see some Samurai Champloo stuff, better when it’s well done.
3. As a hero fan I love this kind of parody. Heroes, robots, and girls!
