  1. “Superhuman Byakuren Hijiri’s Air Muscle”
  Never seen “muscle” written in katakana this way, but I guess I can understand how it was derived.

  Beat Mario’s always fun to hear, but this isn’t my favorite of his work. If I hadn’t seen the credits, I’d never have recognized the melody, but that could be ’cause I haven’t listened to the original much. The art’s amusing, though.

  2. “With Your Voice”
  I could swear I’ve seen this one already…ah, there it is, in the July 31 entry.

  3. “Fantasy Kaleidoscope: The Spring Snow Incident”
  Wow, the full short. Interesting…sound effects and mouth movements, but subtitles rather than voices.

  Marisa figures the springtime snow is an incident, while Reimu insists spring’s just late this year, so Marisa huffs off to solve the incident alone. Ah, poor Cirno. Oh well, she’ll be okay.

  Heh…the “translated” title is amusing, but not a translation at all. Wonder who came up with it.

  Well, Letty didn’t last long. She’ll get better too. What the heck is the deal with chasing Chen around, though…?

  Hmm…I like that transition into the Land of the Dead; nice disorientation effect. Heh…Marisa pulls a direct quote from [i]JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure[/i] (“Yareyare da ze” — “Gimme a break.”), though it’s entirely in character for her anyway. Then she pulls a Mito Komon move with her hakkero.

  Back to the shrine…curious shoes Sakuya’s wearing. Reimu’s still refusing to budge, even with Sakuya delivering Remilia’s prompting. Her final reproof notes that Marisa’s gone to the Land of the Dead and may not rest in peace if she dies there.

  Reimu ends up arriving just in time and winning, of course, but at least the win is sort of justified by Marisa distracting Yuyuko sufficiently.

  Apparently, the youkai gathering for post-incident-resolution parties wears on her nerves, though. (Heh…Remi has Meiling carry the official Comfy Chair. Ooh, and Wriggle suffers a Cirno Kick!) They drive off the worshippers, don’t you know, and she has to do all the clean-up afterwards, thus she doesn’t like solving incidents in the first place. Yeah, Marisa doesn’t buy it, either.

  Aw, Flandre’s keeping hold of Meiling’s dress in her sleep.

  And ending credit images by Younori!

  Wait a second…so there was ANOTHER point to the whole incident. Distracting Reimu from the presence of…well, you’ll see when she comes out in her new outfit.

  4. “Touhou PVD 2″
  Thought this was a repeat of the one from the August 7 entry, but then I realized this is the full version split into sections, not the trailer.

  Part 1 – This Hand of Mine, That Hand of Yours
  Very impressive and touching retelling of Byakuren’s history, especially considering how cute the character designs are. Now I know why Shou and Ichirin were glomping on Murasa, too.

  Part 2 – Flandre Awakens
  Again, Flandre wants out of the mansion, and Sakuya and Patchouli work together to stop her. Minor Meiling abuse is involved, but Koakuma actually gets worse, I think.

  Part 3 – Infinite World
  Seeing this as a whole, I now understand it’s a vignette based on [i]Double Spoiler[/i]. Good animation and catchy music.

  Part 4 – Heartquake Super Shock
  More animation here and there than I expected from what appears otherwise to be an MMD-generated concert video. (Not MMD per se, just that style of video.) Nice song, too.

  Part 5 – Silver Bullet Marionette
  Not sure what the whole deal is, but it’s fun to watch. Sakuya appears to arrive to romance (or at least bring presents to) Patchouli and Remilia, then goes all Michael Jackson/jazzy. Then Flandre shows up all Goth-loli’d out. (Again, there’s minor Meiling abuse, but it passes by quickly.)

  Part 6 – All Mankind’s Hisou Tensoku (Sound Effect version)
  Won’t argue with another go-through of this short, especially with a different verse, sound effects, and sponsors (Moriya and Hakurei Shrines). I still enjoy it.

  The Spring Snow Incident was cool and funny, just as I would have liked.
