Tokiko to create.swf, due to popular demand in
the last update. Similar to Unnamed Character, Tokiko is an Unnamed Book-Reading Youkai given the name Tokiko by fans! Oh yeah, there are wings too; I just forgot them when I took this screenshot.

If you’re hitting book characters, I guess Akyu’s number is coming up?
She looks really good. Looking at your more recent characters makes your earlier designs look kind of… rough. Any plans to update old designs?
In after update. And yeah, the old designs are way less detailed, and the brushstrokes (if you could call it that) are larger, so they look really different.
And then there was that whole thing that came after Youmu where the heads kept getting bigger until I realized something was wrong and fixed it with Suika (You’ll see what I mean if you go to Youmu’s hair without a hat, and click next until you get to Suika).
I think I might go redraw some of the earlier characters when I’m done with Akyu and the Three Mischievous Fairies, except the newly-redrawn characters will be added to the end rather than having the original ones be replaced.
If I may make a suggestion: Would it be possible to create an in-flash menu where you can select a given character in order to instantly get their proper hat, hair, body, arms, shoes and back? (Non-character specific things, such as eyes, would remain the same as they were before the selection was made.) Maybe a little arrow off to the mid-left, like your randomizer arrow in the top left corner.

Three Mischievous Book Reading Youkai? Patchy, Tokiko and Alice or Akyu? Pingy highly recommends that after KirbyM spends time updating character images, that there is a flash featuring how much trouble youkai and humans could get involved over books~

If you’re accepting suggestions i’d say to do Koakuma, and yes, another reading youkai, helps patchy in the library.

I’ve never heard of her nor seen her in any doujins or (suprisingly) the image boards. Bur I have a feeling I’ll grow to like her. Nice update.

By the way, I second Kilgamayan’s idea of having an ‘auto-select’ for all character-specific items. You could just add it as another 2-arrow selection thing – like you’ve done with QUICK CHANGE, but… CHARACTER PRESET CHANGE, or something. (I know QUICK CHANGE is already a squeeze, but you can probably find a better name for it. ;P)
