This update is not so much about Maribel as it is about GIANT YUYUKO FAN THAT TOOK AN HOUR TO TRACE. I added a rotation/flip thingy to the etc menu (I am aware that if you change the size while the character is flipped, it will revert to an un-flipped form), a few new back items (Myon, Yukari portal, GIANT YUYUKO FAN THAT TOOK AN HOUR TO TRACE), Youmu swords without Myon, a watermelon, and uhh… I think that’s it. The GIANT YUYUKO FAN THAT TOOK AN HOUR TO TRACE took an hour to trace, so unfortunately I didn’t get to make all the interface updates I had intended. Oh well, next time.

Since it’s so detailed, is my guess. And the autotrace feature sometimes loses important details.
In any case, nice update. Now Yuyuko can be complete in all her beam-and-bullet showering glory!

@Muck: Making it vector does not add detail to it, but rather give it more quality and allow resizing to be done. But I don’t really see why it needs to be vector still, making it small doesn’t not hurt its quality and I think the original picture should be clear enough.
@Vivi, oh that so? So flash reduces the quality of pixel image? Well I don’t work with flash but it is a good know.

Haha… I tried to comment on this last night but failed. ‘Giant Yukari fan’, I typed… that’s what 48 hours with no sleep does to you. Seriously, nice work though.
@Setsi: I could have left it in its original form, but it’d look horrible on higher resolutions, because it’d be all pixely and whatnot. It just wouldn’t look nice. The other option would have been to use the autotrace function, to convert it into vector format, but as Muck said, it sometimes misses some important things, and most importantly, it would increase the filesize by a huge amount. The last thing I want is for the flash to be like 1MB or 2MB in size simply because of the GIANT YUYUKO FAN THAT TAKES UP HALF THE FILESIZE.

No love for Maribel? ;_; Come on, Renko and Maribel are literally perfect for a manga/light novel since they can focus on the supernatural/weird stuff and avoid the danmaku… It would’ve been interesting to see that instead of Reimu complaining that nothing happens in SSiB.

@The Observer: I refer to it as “Yuyuko’s Giant Fan of Rape” simply because i fucking hate both her spell cards and normal attacks when she has the damn thing out (Exception: Last spell card without it isn’t so bad.) Sure it’s a big fucking hit box, that doesn’t change the fact that I hate fighting her when she has it out.
Now to figure out how to paint my own not-so giant version of it. I kinda want a replica of that fan.
