Here are two videos from Cirno is a Genius (The second one is a parody, it’d probably help to see the original), with some super-awesome camera/lighting techniques and special effects! And create.swf! The videos look a lot better in HD. I mean a lot better. Anyway, yes. Nifty. It probably would’ve been better if I had posted the first one yesterday, seeing how it was Monday and everything…
In other news, a bunch of Touhou characters made it past the International Saimoe League 2009 nominations! Here’s what melange has to say:
Well in the end Reimu, Marisa, Aya, Remilia and Patchouli made it in with another 43 contestants to make 48 total.
Next will be 7 or 8 preliminary rounds which will whittle this number down to 27 characters who will join the 37 prequalified characters in the main league of 64.
In brief, these preliminary rounds will be held thus:
1. 48 characters divided into 4 groups of 12.
2. Each group will compete, the one with the most votes in each group will qualify for the main league.
3. Remaining characters are reshuffled into new groups and compete again until all 27 slots are filled.
(For more detailed information, please see the rules page)The 1st preliminary round will be start on 0000 GMT, Monday, 19 January 2009.
P.S. In the main league of 64, each character will have a match with every other character, i.e. every character has 63 matches. This means that during each voting round, there will be 32 matches (32 characters vs 32 characters). The rules are such that during the main league voters must vote in a minimum of 8 matches.
And as you can probably guess, yes, homework took a lot longer than expected today too. Perhaps it’s because of my naps. I should stop taking naps after school… but I can’t.

oh shit man hahahahaha, I’d seen those G.I. Joe clips before, SO RANDUM but they’re mostly hilarious because of it. I’m usually not a fan of non-sequitur humor, but it works for some reason. The “hey kid, I’m a computer” and the “memememe” one were pretty funny.

Heh, I’d like to comment that that’s a somewhat … creative use of the “JUST AS PLANNED” eyes there.
Also, this is one of the most awesome uses of create.swf ever.
Just to let you know, KirbyM, HD with a high bitrate is &fmt=22 – try it, you can often see a big improvement over &fmt=18. ^^
