Added Rin Satsuki to create.swf. Sort of. Assuming this is what she looks like, that is. Anyway, her individual parts are selectable (although you’ll have to use PC-98 Reimu’s hat and an accessory for Rin’s hat), but she’s not added as a preset character. Her preset character information is in the create.swf actionscript, but it’s commented out, so it’s just like the real Rin! Except the real Rin doesn’t actually exist.
Also, Keine erases some history, but how far back did she go? Who knows! (Also, I know that Keine doesn’t come in until TH08 and Rin was supposed to be introduced in TH06, but this isn’t supposed to be chronologically accurate at all)

I still say there should be two different “accessories” — one for “parts” like the Third Eyes and Elis’s red-thingy (would appear when you spawned preset, even if you had “don’t spawn with items”), and one for … accessories like speech bubbles and “on fire” and stuff.

You have no idea how happy this update has made me. As the (self-proclaimed) biggest Rin Satsuki fan in the world, I think it’s about time she got at least some recognition. Hopefully ZUN hasn’t forgotten about her completely, and will actually put her in a game at some point in the future.

Ah, so it seems that there are fans of a character that never was. Quite interesting.
Although I would think the reason Rin Satsuki never came to existence was probably due to the fact she was supposed to be a third playable character but hasn’t been introduce previously.
Perhaps it’s only speculation but even so, most of the other playable characters (with the exception of Reimu and some of the introduced characters in the Touhou 2p games) were characters previously introduced at some previous game or another. So having a totally new character come out of nowhere might cause some kind of a confusion of sorts. Or maybe not, who knows.
I suppose that being in the game prior to becoming a playable doesn’t necessarily make that character’s motive to their solving the incident any more clearer than just having them appear out of nowhere with a complete back story and everything.
Although, then again, maybe she could have been a mysterious character that did, in fact, come out of nowhere and you find out more about her through her own story in the game.
So far this seems to only have happened in the 2p games.

Rin is, essentially, a Time Paradox. It’d be interesting to see her in a new game, but if she did, she’d essentially screw over every important scenario. because she is a living Time PAradox.

Hey, KirbyM, I’ve been kinda wanting to ask you this for a while and i hope it’s not a bother. I kinda wanna ask could you change something from the Create.swf program. You know how there is those additional arms in the object menu, do you think it’s possible to actually split the arms into 2 pieces. Like the hand-to-face arm. It’s kinda really hard to use them since when you move it both of it moves and it’s hard to make some poses. Althrough I’m not sure if you’re going to read this, but still; I would kinda hope if you would do that. I think it may help some other people too actually. Sorry to bother you, it’s just a suggestion really.
