Ah, Chemistry. I had the most [rainbow]AWESOME[/rainbow] professor ever. We were going over the elements and he had a balloon at the front of the room. He then tells us (not an exact quote because it was two years ago, but gets the story across) “Most of you know that air on Earth is mostly Nitrogen. Now there are two gaseous elements lighter than Nitrogen: Hydrogen and Helium. I wonder what’s in this balloon? How can I figure out what it’s filled with?” He let the class make some suggestions, then answered “Those are all good ideas, but I know of a much more fun method.” He ordered the first two rows of seats to move to the back, got a meterstick with a lighter taped to the end, and held it up to the balloon. FIREBALL. “Welp, guess it was hydrogen.”
My CHem teacher last year did something similar, except she told us it was hydrogen and was just showing what happens. Oh, and she did it TWICE.

This somehow reminds me of earlier today in my chemistry class when my teacher put some sodium in water. It turned into mokou.
