Donating Blood

I realized recently that I haven’t made a daily flash in awhile (since the end of April; I guess the daily flash characters were temporarily affected by swine flu or something). Anyway, yeah. Blood drives. They hold them at school every once in awhile, but I’ve never donated because I get uneasy at the fact that a pint seems like a lot of blood. Well, basically my view is summed up by Headphones Character’s brief explanation.

  • First!

And yes, that end screen was a tiny bit scary!

  • Hee hee…somehow, Remilia sucking blood through a straw really amuses me.

  • REMI! ^ ^

  • Reminds me of those little Capri-Sun drinks. They used to be in little aluminium or plastic (?) pouches and were drunk with a straw. Also, the very first thing which came into my head when I saw the first frame was “Lol, Remi”. Even before I read “Donating” (I saw “blood” first xD). She’s always welcome, though. Also, yes, creepy final frame is, indeed, creepy.

  • Moving wings (∩ ̄▽ ̄∩ )三( ∩ ̄▽ ̄∩) Type B is her favorite flavor actually.

  • 5th!

    A cookie?

  • Mmm… AB… But I take the A, because I lieks creativity!

  • NoWaiThatsImpossible:O

Little do they know, blood donations is a scam for Remilia to get food D8!!!

so its JUST AS PLANNED!!! *dramatic music plays*

  • XD

Though doesn’t Remilia say in IN that she only drinks blood from people who fear her? :3 (Yeah, I know, I know, Rule Of Funny.)

    Also, ⑨th.

  • @Fubu72: Oh, thank Suwako. I had previously thought that it was type B, and been happy in a way which only an otaku can be (since I believe my blood type is B), so it was a bit of a shock when I saw that a major Western Touhou (西方/Seihou? =p) fan / fan-material provider said her favourite type was AB. =P

^ Messy sentence is damn messy.

  • Much love for Type O people, who can give to any type but can get only from another O type.

Anyway, I do miss donating blood back during college when I was down in South Florida. Not only did I get all I could drink and eat (Gatorade and ham sandwiches with mustard were the greatest) but I also got a free t-shirt, two tickets to a comedy club, a ticket for a casino cruise and coupons for more food. I do not know if they still give all that out though still.

But that ham sandwich sure was tasty. Then again, being scared of needles really sucked especially when pre-wrapped meat between two pieces of ciabatta-like bread was a good motivator. Double so when you have small veins (like I do) and the tech has to poke you over 9000 times to find a vein. I HATED that day with the fire of a thousand white suns when that happened.

  • I knew it! thats what happens with my blood! I keep donating and donating and that what happens! Good thing my blood is now in good handz =D

  • @SomethingUnreal: Profiles ( `・ω・´)σ

@MarisaMuffin: That’s exactly what I thought at first but then you realize that since the first day she has been in Gensokyo, she probably haven’t eaten anything other than blood brought to her (very likely from the outside world) because she isn’t allowed to get it herself inside Gensokyo.

(Here I go again, Sakuya Mode activate!)

She probably goes around everywhere saying “Gyaoh~ I’m going to eat you~” just to look good. You little liar (∩ ̄▽ ̄∩ )三( ∩ ̄▽ ̄∩)

  • Is it a bad thing that I expected that ending to involve Remilia?

No less, another wonderful daily flash from the works of KirbyM! =D

  • I used to tell people I’m O type person… but suddenly after a proper medical exam, I found out that I’m actually AB type! Noes, Remi, don’t drink my blood!!! Also, I’m amnesiac, that way, you, didn’t tatse blood from my blood…

  • O type here. Haven’t donated blood before, but I’ve seen mine for medical testings and such.

Remi, for you, I’d donate half of mine~. Not much though, I need it >_>

  • Yukari is part of this plot as well!
Yukari has invaded our blood donation drive!

  • Donate blood today! Think about our adorable Remii!

  • She likes AB because it’s two flavors at the same time! Like lemon and lime!

  • @Arlekin: Indeed, it is a good incentive, rivaling shrimptriscuit’s sandwiches and the rest.

Also, I forgot to mention this before but “blood drive” made me imagine a hard disk drive with blood on it, which made me imagine someone from Higurashi using one as a weapon due to how sturdy they are. Although perhaps a blood drive is just a drive made of blood… in which case Remii would be learning at an incredible rate every time she gets thirsty.

  • donating blood here gives you… cookies, juice, a pin (for the 1st,3rd,10th time donating), an excuse to fall asleep during class, a pamphlet, a paper that tells you your blood type if you didnt know already, close encouters with nifty medical equipments.

it also makes remi happy…or saves lives…one or the other

  • @SomethingUnreal: Such a smart lady (∩ ̄▽(ry

  • I want Remilia to suck my blood!

I am afraid of needles too, I would need blood if I donated blood. o_o
    Such a paradox

  • I’m O+, where’s that on Remilia’s blood list?

  • I’ve donated twice, and since moved away from the donation area, yet I still receive regular calls asking me to come in and donate.

I DON’T LIVE THERE ANYMORE PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE I NEED ALL THE BLOOD FOR MY UPCOMING MAHJONG MATCH OF DEATH

  • Oh wow, I really didn’t see that coming…

  • IT MAKES SENSE!!!!

Btw, I’m O+, yet I can’t give blood because my blood is bad. It would poison poor Remi. My blood is so useless.

  • Type B is my favorite :)

  • @Tesmy: Really? Well, how many people’s blood have you sucked by now?

  • The end screen was a bit creepy. But yay for Remi!

  • The end screen? I guess that implies that this daily flash is the end of your life or something. THE END IS NEAR

Oh yeah and Remilia was totally predicted but yeah.

  • @ピコハンP: I’m O+ too

  • @Akiraita: Whut? You mean the next one will be a Walfas-version of Concealed the Conclusion!? Gasp!

  • @MarisaMuffin: If that ever happened then Long-Haired character would totally be Marisa. And there should be Trigonometry as a boss in there somewhere.

  • @Fubu72: I kind of just recently moved out of blood bags and to people, I’ve bitten at least 20 in the past month. I’m trying to not go insane with my powers, though.

  • I had bitten like 15 people for now, I love Type O, Sweet

  • Type B…Does that means that Im delicious?

  • Of course vampires run the Red Cross, everyone knows that.

  • @S.H.I.N.: Your BLOOD is delicious, not you…Mind telling me where you live?

    *Is Hungry*

  • I love donating blood, I find it fun for some reason.

And it’s not just a complimentary cookie, sometimes it’s a gift coupon for Baskin Robbins or other places fun to eat. But the free food and water they give out has it’s purpose after all

  • That reminds me, I did get my blood drawn one time. I wasn’t donating it, though, it was for a doctor’s checkup and stuff. The doc gave me a free ice cream coupon for that Chick-whatever place (the place with the dudes in the cow suits saying “eat moar chikkin” or something) so that was something.

  • I can’t help seeing the blood as packets of Kool-Aid. Its so colorful.

  • @Akiraita: Chik-Fillet or something…Speaking of which, I CHANGED MY SITE TO ANOTHER ONE D=

Also, my computer’s being stupid and won’t let me change my stuff (Nickname, website, so on)

KirbyM, can you please change my website-name-thing to http://bloodcoloredmoon.blogspot.com/

  • Wow, those who gave blood before got way better stuff than I did. All I got was a sticker my first time, and a pen the third time. I did get cookies and juice though, which made it worth it.

Incidentally, I didn’t end up giving a full pint the third time because blood stopped flowing into the bag after awhile.

  • That was really cool!
I didn’t have a laugh like this in front of my computer for some time.

  • @Tesmy: That’s where you were supposed to ask me if I can remember how many times I have eaten bread. Thanks for ruining my Remi-Jojo joke (つω;)

  • @Fubu72: You’re welcome.
