Well, it’s the beginning of winter break. I’d be much more excited if it weren’t for the fact that we have over 100 pages of reading to do for English class, with the addition of about 40 pages of U.S. History stuff to read. Bleh. No flash-related content today, but I’ll probably be working on the next Touhou flash tomorrow. Expect it to be finished by Christmas (Unless something goes horribly wrong or whatever). I’ll probably update create.swf with Daiyousei as well.

I went to check my SAT scores for the test I took on December 1st, and OH MY GOSH WHAT THE FUDGE, A TWENTY-TWO-TEN. I was in disbelief for about five minutes. I seriously didn’t expect to do so well. I got an 800 in the writing section, even though I didn’t get all the multiple choice right (Apparently I got a writing multiple choice score of 72 out of 80). I never thought I’d get a 12 (out of 12) on my essay, especially since I didn’t even have time to write a conclusion on the test.
Got a 760 on the math, and a 650 on the critical reading. I’m pretty sure the vocabulary (that I did not memorize at all) was what messed me up, but I still got an awesome score. I mean, I kinda expected around a 1900, but seriously, a 2210? wtfzszfzsf. That’s just crazy. Very unexpected. Well, I’m not much of a “HEY WHAT’D YOU GET? OH THAT’S NICE, I GOT A SCORE OF ____” kind of person, so I probably won’t be showing it off or anything. Except to everyone who comes to this site, of course. BUT SERIOUSLY WTF THAT’S JUST CRAZY. If I ever see that SAT prep instructor guy again, I’ll be all “THANKS DUDE, YOU OWN.”
Actually happened. Except it’s slightly exaggerated. Anyway, the museum trip was kinda interesting, but the fact that we had to answer questions on a worksheet kinda took away from the “fun” (if that’s what it’s called). It was kinda unorganized compared to other trips, though. We got to wander around the museum ourselves rather than having to follow some teachers around, which I guess made it better. During lunch, when I bought a 99-cent bag of chips with a dollar bill, and I actually got a penny back. It was the craziest thing ever.
After lunch, we all went to this planetarium thing (well I don’t actually know what it is… it’s like a dome thing) and watched some stuff. It was awesome, and I ended up saying “OH MY GOD” every few seconds because it looked like a huge meteor was about to crash into the room. I was gonna add that part into the flash, with an object actually crashing through the roof at the end, but the escalator part took way too long to make. The result was worth it, though. Especially the running animation.
I finished taking the SATs a few hours ago, and I think it went pretty well. It seemed a bit too easy, though… all the things we went over in the prep class and all those practice tests we took seemed so much harder in comparison. It was supposed to start at like 7:45am, but I got there about fifteen minutes early, and we ended up starting at 8:30 anyway.
In the first section, the instructor lady didn’t tell us when we had five minutes left, so I didn’t get to finish the conclusion for the essay. I don’t think I did that well on the sentence completion parts, because I don’t really know that many SAT words. But that’s only a small part of the reading section, so I guess that’s okay.
We were taught in SAT prep that questions 17 to 20 for the math section would be the hard questions, but the easiness of those questions surprised me. I’ve improved a lot on the grammar sections, because now I can easily identify errors and stuff like that. Yeah… I guess that’s it. I’ll be getting my scores on the 29th! I’m just glad all this SAT stuff is over.
In other news, I don’t really have an idea for a flash to make this week, but if I get one, I’ll try to start on it. And today is the first day of December! Woooooo!
I don’t really have much time to do stuff today. Got home from my last SAT prep class a few hours ago. I got a 2040 on my last practice SAT (even though it seemed like the hardest one I’ve taken), which is awesome. That’s like… a 200 point increase from the last one! Yay! I’ll be taking the actual SAT tomorrow, so I’ll be reviewing stuff now. Hopefully, I can get around the same score as I did on that practice test.
