It’s basically a gutted jewel box player…
I’m not sure on whether the guy used hardened cardboard or something or if it was one of those paper fed piano players. (I forgot the name)
But the rest of the contraption just consisted of a giant chamber to make the sound much more clearer.
I wanna make one of those.. xD

I thought it was a pretty smooth transition, at least compared to the (two) videos of the Nico Nico Medley also there. Then again, I didn’t check the dates, so maybe this one was made after those and there was an improvement in skill between then and this.
