why is everyone so surprised at perfect animation from fans? There is just way too many PV with perfect animation I seen, and it is not like artwork quality of this is all that good.

Just so everyone knows, it’s extremely unlikely that there will ever be a Touhou anime. ZUN said that it would cause all sorts of problems for doujin artists.
This is truly one of the best animated touhou short vids ever.

Just a thought, but I’d imagine an OVA or two based on one of the games story-lines would in theory not complicate matters. I certainly wouldn’t mind an action packed OVA based on ESoD culminating in an epic danmaku battle between Reimu and Flandre. Add in some remixes of themes from the game and BAM, you have you have some happy fans and the doujin community is unphased since nothing new has been added to continuity. For some reason i can imagine Marisa having a british accent.
I’m personally fine with there not being an anime. The beauty of danmaku battles would be less conductive to an anime, and it’d suck to have official voices, when instead you can create your own in your head. Also, ZUN said that if he did make an anime, it would be an original plot not based off the games.
So, I’d just enjoy what’s here now.
