【手書き】ボーカロイド達でアッーウッウッイネイネ【らき☆すたMIX】

(I’m only posting this video because I can’t find any other video to post)

Well anyway, I started volunteering at the computer resource center today. It’s kinda cool, but uhh… I don’t think I’ll be writing much about it unless something super-interesting happens, because I’ll have to show people my flash stuff and they’ll have to see the site (if you’re one of those people and you’re reading this, hi). Yeah it’s always weird to write about people when you know they’re gonna see it, so I’ll avoid doing that. Anyhow, I got home and watched half an hour of educational childrens’ television programming on PBS and then fell asleep for about two hours. Yeah.

  • Song is Under My Skin by Paffendorf.

  • Of course they still play Seasame Street. But the real show is CYBERCHASE, AAAA.

    No offense, but anything Lucky Star-related makes me want to claw my eyes out until they are but bloody holes.

    Oh, these shows were fine and all when it was inventive, creative and original like Azumanga Daioh.

    Then the whole “cute girl random comedy without a plot” thing started to gradually fall from greatness on a downward spiral continuing with Doki Doki School Hours, Pani Poni Dash, and Strawberry Marshmallow.

    And now it’s basically come to this. The watered down, unwatchable final resting place of bad anime much like the shonen genre eventually de-evcolved into Naruto.

    Again, no offense meant and I’m not putting down anyone who likes Lucky Star for whatever reason, but this stuff has just gotten too formulaic and watered down into nothing for me to care about it, anymore.

    Anime seems to be generally a heck of a lot worse than it was 5 years ago, or even 10 or 15 years ago, and getting worse, and I often credit shows like Naruto and Lucky Star for Japan’s self-bastardizations or originality and quality, in favor of just mass producing increasingly unwatchable genre clones.

    No offence or anything but Lucky Star is one of those anime that just makes me go “Oh god, not this again.”

    I’m sure other people’s opinions are different than mine, and I respect that and I don’t mean to start a fight or anything… but just.. yeesh. I couldn’t even watch this video.

  • @1957Buick

    I agree with you somewhat there. Even though animes from a decade ago did look worse from time to time, but it was still enjoyable. If the animes you watch are enjoyable then there shouldn’t be any problem with how it is animated. But you still have a point there and i respect it.

  • OH MAH GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
    Marisa said the name of the unspeakable anime that defiles the name of ninjas… also… I >>>HATE

  • Ahem… HATE Lucky Star. And iosys needs to make a touhou anime. They’re like… trying to kill us… with their touhou flashes…
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH…

  • o_o;;

    *brain dies*

    Yeah, Lucky Star is kinda boring and plot-less, but that doesn’t mean all anime is like that nowadays. We still get some -amazing- anime plots (mostly the anime that are derived from visual novels), it’s just the mainstream ones that end up with the formulaic OMGPLOTTWISTS and fillers that make anyone cry.

    And Touhou anime? yesplz.

  • Hey, come on, guys! Take it easy!
    I understand what you’re trying tu say, but, you win nothing by hating.
    I really love Lucky Star, and it’s because it shows somethings that re true, and are funny. In fact, the “daily flashes” are pretty similar to what Lucky Star is. If it is a little plot-less, well, it doesn’t matter very much, even Touhou tend to be plot-less, and is that what makes possible to the fans make all their fanwork, because is like the story is open to anything ones might want.

    And about Naruto and the other popular series, don’t blame them. I’m pretty sure that you used to like them too. It’s just that when something gets too popular, always appear very dumb people that like it too, and they ruins the fun to the rest. One feels bad for liking something that that kind of people likes too. It happens with everything, even with Touhou.

    So… come on! don’t be hatin’ ^^

  • Kicking up an old topic because I don’t want to listen during programming class.

    @1957 Buick:

    Yeah, I see what you mean. My chum kept trying to persuade me to watch Lucky☆Star some time back. But at that moment I was following Azumanga Daioh, which I enjoyed immensely. After that I decided to give Lucky☆Star a try anyway. I found that it was pretty much another schoolgirl slice-of-life comedy very similar to Azumanga Daioh, and that kinda made me go “Gods, is this another ripoff?”

    However, one point I’d like to bring out is that Lucky☆Star may be similar in the schoolgirl comedy, but the character personalities and the style is very much different indeed. While Azumanga Daioh is more flowing, realistic and light-hearted in humour, Lucky☆Star has a great emphasis on chibi-styled characters and loud, hyperactivity. I guess this is what makes Lucky☆Star unique in its own way, despite it being the same genre as Azumanga Daioh.

    As for Naruto, AWW DAMNIT $!#% DON’T GET ME STARTED ON IT…

    @Cobalt and Lantis:

    I never liked Naruto nor Flame of Recca because I have a very high opinion of our real-life ninjas. Hey, have we forgotten about them? Almost every other day I see kids (and gods forbid, 16 year-olds) around my area emulating Naruto, Sasuke and their Rasengan-whatever.

    Once at my part-time job, I even had a pretty bad experience with this one kid. It involved me avoiding his dashing about by employing my own brand of time-honoured, tried-and-tested move: The Quickstep, because I was holding a tray of desserts.

    He didn’t take it kindly, though. He started following me around the shop, bugging me with all his claims about ‘being faster’ and ‘can flash’ and whatnot, though I tried to ignore him.

    Hilarity ensued when I was facing the counter, and I turned around to find him zooming towards me. I stepped off to the side and *BANG*.

    He was 12, I think.

  • Yeah, that’s another thing: just because something’s in the same genre doesn’t mean it’s a “ripoff.” Otherwise Touhou would be, like, a ripoff of Gradius.
