Actually, there’s a huge vacuum beneath, in the middle of the brush, which sucks up all the mess. The brush’s there to just get the grits off the ground… and scare off night sparrows.

Street Cleaners are evil. They make too much noise just to move leaves everywhere, then again we went one up and we have a Vacum Truck that sounds like a giant Dyson every week.
I have had a similar experience in my childhood, my mommy got me a Lil Yellow School Bus, but then every Friday trash collecting Tengu would come by, one Friday they made such a racket collecting trash that it scared away my Lil Yellow School Bus, and I was never able to find him and I was never the same again ;__;

At least the “street sweepers” (road sweepers?) which come by over here actually do seem to make a difference (for the better).
