Yes, the fundamental theorem of calculus! I still have no idea how the second part of the theorem is useful, but I guess I shall find out soon! Also, I’m sure that a bunch of people will have no idea what the teacher is saying, and that’s okay, because the extra text is just there to waste space and to make it seem like a real lecture about the fundamental theorem of calculus. I feel like I should create subcategories for the different types of daily flashes, like math, literature, random, etc. But I’m too lazy to do that now. Anyway… uhh… calculus is awesome. That is all.
all you have to do is antidifferentiate the integrand (let’s call it F(x)). Then find the difference between that antiderivative if the inputs are the upper and lower bound of the integral (F(b)-F(a)). And that’s how you evaluate an integral.
You have part 1 in your flash though, and it’s incomplete. And you can use it to find the slope of a tangent line of the integral.
I can’t belive I just remembered that off the top of my head.
Nice comic as always, but I noticed something: Winn seems to have done another EWI video, but I found it before it was posted here. Usually this is the first place I see them.
Kana’s. It’s not that impressive visually, but the song more than makes up for it. I coincidentally just discovered that song the day prior and fell in love with it.
Calculus IS awesome. You don’t hear enough love for it. ;_;
However, I have to admit that I kinda became disillusioned with it after taking Calc 3. All the vectorization and integral identities kinda made it less fun for me. Calc 1 & 2 were cool, though.
Just took my Calc 3 final today. I want more math.
But, in Calc 3 you learn how to revise the FTC. In order to find the sum of a function/vector/object. Find a formula that describes the object, and find a differential unit to integrate the function with to the designated end points. Presto! Now you can integrate ANYTHING! And find weird properties of even mundane objects like a rod, or a kitchen sink, and area of odd objects.
I like that one because it’s good.
Whoa, Nelly! Where did you get the idea for that pun?
And luckyly, we don’t need Unnamed Character to repeat it for us! Yay for the left arrow key!
Awesome! You know, this reminds me of a Pratchett quote: “Religious fundamentalists are no fun, all damn, and hardly any mental.”
Also, I made a Touhou Nekokayou 4koma! It was loads easier, so I might switch over to that format. :o
Now what has she been doing till now?
Wow i was just doing some dirivities with some one with repsect to fuctonality in java.
Oh wow, “secret” end.

AARRRRGHHH DAMN YOU INTEGRALS! So glad i’m done with that forever.
btw, don’t overuse the secret ends, it gets old that way.
Good one, though.
Hahaha, funny :D
That’s not just good, it’s EXTREME! I mean GRRRRRRRREAT.
I am always useful.
What Fubu72 said.
I like keeping it frozen for a while on the quiet parts to lengthen to “awkward silence” moments. :3
“Did you hear how I said ‘fun’ and then ‘dumb’ and then ‘-ental theorem of calculus’?”
“Nope.”
*LONG PAUSE*
“Oh.”
Good times!
Ridiculously true. I can get the derivative of a dolphin… for what? Maybe to get a Gundam Suit? Sounds good…
Person: What video? the Kana’s one? or the announced but still unpublished Parsee’s video?.
Anyway, I missed the Bored-looking Character, and her return is fantastic with her answers.

And huh. That link probably makes it easy to tell what I normally go by on the Internet.

@Sillymuffin: But you had no part in this…
OR DID YOU?

やっと意味が分かりました。
fun dumb ental = fundamental
という意味だったんですね。
