Thankfully that has never happened to me.
Ah board games, games of luck when one gets 5 and 6’s or 10 to 12’s almost all the time. Games of skill where one person isn’t as skilled as the other. Whichever the case, a common way to end the game. Like Monopoly where you’re not even past Free Parking and your opponent already has ten properties and passed Go three times is probably a good time to end the game like that.
btw, zun will be at A28a at comiket for those going. (he posted on his blog, with a picture of the cd). I know what Im gonna be playing once I get back to my hotel tommorow night :D (bought a 40ish dollar usb dvd drive yesterday to listen to cds I buy and play games I buy)

@Solarn: Just spotted this response from you, and I’m putting my response here for more immediate visibility.
It does seem a little odd for fall to start that late, but September 21 is traditionally regarded as the autumnal equinox, so that’s when fall is officially supposed to start, according to what I learned. It works like that for all the seasons:
Frankly, when I was a kid, as far as I was concerned, it was:
Winter: Begins Dec. 1
Spring: Begins Mar. 1
Summer: Begins Jun. 1
Fall: Begins Sep. 1
so I understand how you feel, but that wasn’t the official word on the calendars.

I used to never see a game of Monopoly end without the board being flipped when the last player realized he couldn’t win.
So once I glued the board to the table, hilarity ensued.
Ahh, how nostalgic. Reminds me of all those old friendships destroyed by Risk… Good times. (Well, not so good.)
