So we had something like this today, except without such harsh criticism! I am not very good at public speaking because often I forget what I’m supposed to say, or I know what to say but don’t know how to put it into words. And that is all. The workshop went from 6:15PM all the way to 8:20ish though.
So you’re not good at public speaking either, huh? *HIGHFIVES* ALRIGHT!!! =D I’m a bit surprised because you’re such a good writer, though writing and speaking are two completely different actions. =3… Well, good luck on your next public speech!
You should have some words with my brother, he can gave you a full lectu- speech about any topic you give. It’s very funny actually, you say “Black Holes: The Inmortality Inside Them” or “The Origin Of Life = 42” and he will make it sound many times more convincing than Remilia and her manipulation of fate XD
Public speaking? I’m the one in my class to make a short speech turn into one-hour of Q&A sessions. And I done it to all of my classmates…. Really, you don’t have to actually memorize feet-long of speeches, just speak what’s on your mind clearly and be confident…
@rune_devros: Yeah that happens to me too, even when people ask me what I ate for lunch. Thought, I mostly speak about alternate dimensions and/or time travel.
Way better than what I have to do, anyway, which involves that speech Obama gave a few weeks ago and if kids should watch it or not. I’m supposed to be arguing against, but eh. It would be much more interesting if Obama were a zombie.
but even better than either speech was headphones character’s super motivational speech it was the most motivational thing ever
That reminds me of a summer student we had a while back. He had to give a presentation to our research group at the end of his time here. Seems he had no experience with public speech and wasn’t used to adapting his story for the audience.
We gave him the usual treatment – us academics (at least, in my subject) don’t wait until the end to ask questions. After like the 8th interruption to ask for clarification (or to include a supplementary comment), he almost feinted on the spot and someone had to catch him. He finished his talk while sitting down.
Mmm yeah, giving presentations is a skill that doesn’t come naturally to most people. Best to do it with a mindset of “the Show must go on” – don’t let the mistakes and interruptions hamper you, keep pressing on. Being shot down isn’t a disaster and nothing to be hurt over.
That speech was not horrible! I was moved on the emotional movement that she gave. And the conclusion, it was utterly fantastic!
lol
Autumn yet?

I had an assignment like this. I got some TV show and derailed into rambling about Special Relativity.
Headphones Character sounds like me when I haven’t prepared for something like this
Oh yeah, Teacher is still around…:D
How blunt of the teacher :p
LOL the third frame looks like unamed character eating her hands!
And I am now Your college professor(s).
What was your speech about?

awwwwwww~
The teacher situation reminds me of Mr. Feeny from Boy meets World.
Oh Mr. Feeny, you stayed with the kids from 6th grade to college graduation.
I’m hoping I’m not so old that no one else remembers that show.

I had a public speaking class; it was fun. But then, I like hearing myself talk.
Plus I did a speech about Zombies, covering The Origins of Zombies, Zombies in Popular Culture and What to do in the Case of a Zombie Apocalypse.
@Kobayashi: That is the best speech ever.

That speech.. was… so moving. Why does the teacher have to harshly criticize her!
Yeah… I’m pretty much the same, especially if I’m in my French class.
That was so….
[rainbow/] AWESOME!!!
*sniff* That speech was beautiful. ;_;
@I saw this in a tv show:
>Walfas Teacher is like Mr. Feeny.
Awesome.
@Aki: Anything with zombies in it is the best _____ ever.
Example:
Zombies movie with (even more) zombies in it = Best zombies movie ever. Maybe.
So what was her topic anyways?

poor headphones character. ; ;
Exactly what happens to me almost every time I do something orally. My planned jobs don’t require any speech-making… so, whatever. :P
hey this was put/made on my birthday!
and is funny
