Earlier this week (or, actually yesterday) there was a Nicovideo Touhou festival of some sort, and a bunch of nifty videos were uploaded! Here they are! First one is an animation collaboration by a bunch of different artists (very awesome), then an EWI video by Winn, two separate videos based on Evangelion and Higurashi (in that order), some 3D videos involving the SDM and Utsuho vs Reimu (in that order), and a video by Noya based on a Silver Forest song (Based on the Kirby Sand Canyon song). There are also some other nice videos that got uploaded but couldn’t be found on YouTube (they were deleted), and those can be found as links at the end of the post. Also a video by Cirno is a Genius, though that wasn’t part of the festival.

You know, it might be a good idea to actually watch the videos first. Even if it’s just the first one (which is most clearly the most awesome one up there)!
I watched the Ewi one, the 3D one, the Genius one and the PAD one. :B

Forgive me. I watched everything out of order:
2) Ah! The EWI video was especially good having read the stories about Renko and Maribel that go along with the seperate music CDs. And Renko as a bunny-girl? YES, SIR. And Maribel / Mareep(bel).
5) The 3D battle was alright. The models weren’t exactly to my liking and I could have done without the bloomer fanservice, but I still enjoyed it.
6) The whole SDM doing Tai Chi? As I’m taking Tai Chi this semester and I love Touhou, this amuses me greatly.
7) A worksafe version?!
8) I just wanna ride my motorcy… cle.
4) I probably shouldn’t have watched this because Higurashi is creepy… But fierce-looking Ran was well worth it.
3) I was skeptical about the Evangelion one because I haven’t watched the series, but I must say, I knew enough about it to really enjoy it. especially the ending. I must look up Megurine Luka singing Fly Me to the Moon when I’m done here.
1) I’m glad I saved this for last. I have a lot to say about this one. It’s been sitting in my subscriptions on YouTube for quite a while and I can’t believe I haven’t seen it till now. I’m going to have to watch it 5 times over tomorrow because I was too distracted by the music to take it all in. Instant favorite.
Now about that Luka singing the Eva ED…

I watched all of them. And they were amazing. Except for the PAD one. That one was merely okay. Though for some strange reason, I tensed up at the part of the Udongelion thing when the random words started flashing by. It was weird.
That aside. It was all good.

The Tai Chi most of you are probably familiar with is not a martial art. It is simply a set of exercises based on another set of exercises that are used as part of training in the real Tai Chi Chuan martial art.

2. Innocent Treasures? Not a song I’m familiar with, but a good listen, nonetheless. Lol @ending.
3. I used to watch Evangelion. Ah. Brings back memories. …Actually, Evangelion was probably the freakiest anime ever, so I’m not sure if I want those memories. (Also if that one had contained Ayagelion I definitely would’ve said it was the best)
4. I’ve never watched Higurashi. I don’t intend to. The Touhou-intro was very well done, but it still gave me the creeps.

6. Really gives you a feel for how hectic fighting Utsuho is. I liked it.

10. Not bad, although I had no idea what the background music was. I think I might’ve heard a bit of Cinderella Cage at the beginning, but that was about all I recognized. Extra points for Patchu-Drum at the end.
Sooooo… all in all? Most of the videos this week were actually pretty good! The awesomeness sorta declines as you go down, though, so if you wanna save the best for last and watch em in reverse order that’d be cool, too. Top two are definitely the best ones this week, by far, but most of the others are worth a watch, I’d say!

Every video were actually pretty good, but I must say:
The noya/sand canyon wasn’t that good.
The Udongelion was so hectic with the puns and the awesomery it almost made my head blow up in awesmoness.
