PC-98 Alice

Added PC-98 Alice to create.swf, with some new backgrounds. Such backgrounds include a school hallway, a mini stage, a pond, a field, and Marisa’s house without a computer in the foreground. You can now also change the font for speech bubbles and things like that! Here’s Thefre’s changelog.

=New Features
– Eirin will now tell you about new updates the first time you load them.
– Eirin now has a link to the user manual.
– You can now use [ and ] to cycle through available objects on the stage.
– You can now switch the functionality of shift/ctrl left/right to make them more consistent with other shift/ctrl functions.
– You can now change the speed the arrow keys will alter things at.
– Changing fonts are now available for text bubbles.
– The manipulator tool has some new options for text bubbles.

=Bug Fixes
-Fixed flipping using the edit menu causing things to be sent to back.

Thefre also made some guides on how to use speech bubbles and how to make comics with create.swf.

Youki

Added Youki Konpaku to create.swf, along with a bunch of summer-themed objects and items. Sparklers, beach blankets, umbrellas, sandcastles, outdoor grills, inner tubes, and a beach background! Also, a more traditional-looking master spark object by Thefre. Here’s the changelog:

=New Features
– Arrow Keys can now be used to position stuff on the stage.
– Shift Up/Down are shortcuts for Bring Forward/Send Backwards.
– Ctrl Up/Down are shortcuts for Bring to Front/Send to Back.
– Shift Left/Right are shortcuts for Rotate.
– Ctrl Left/Right are shortcuts for Scale.
– You can now toggle whether clicking the heads of characters rotates or drags them by default. Ctrl+drag will rotate characters if this is turned off.
– You can now set the X/Y speeds of rain drops, as well as their twirl speed.

=Fixes
– Changed the way power works in pong game, so that you should properly gain options at every 1.00 mark.
– Fixed rain scaling so that shift scaling will also only affect the drops rather than the entire thing.
– Snapshots are now actually named Snapshots to avoid confusion with terminology.
– Character options menu is now properly keylocked.

Also, this may be of interest to people who know foreign languages and would like to help translate the create.swf manual.

PC-98 Marisa

Added PC-98 Marisa to create.swf! Well, the one with blonde hair, anyhow. For the red haired Marisa, I’m sure you can recolor one of the existing hairstyles. Also added a bunch of objects (including lemonade-stand-related things and a kendama), and new eyes (blindfold, cat-like eyes). And most importantly… rain! Select an object and choose the “Rain!” option to make it rain that object. Here’s Thefre’s changelog:

-Rain!
-You can turn objects into rain by pressing R with an object targeted.

As usual, post technical errors/suggestions on Thefre’s site, and art-related suggestions here.

Toyohime

Added Watatsuki no Toyohime to create.swf, along with some new objects (darkness, steamroller, sketchy master spark, extended arms, donation box) and new eyes. Other than that, there’s not much else this week in terms of new features. Here’s a changelog by Thefre:

-Hair Color is now implemented in the DNA.
-Fusion Lab and Clone Capsule will now take hair color into account.
-The black shadow eye now has the black part appear behind the hair.
-Body can now be removed.

Post any technical problems and suggestions you have on Thefre’s site, and post any comments and suggestions for art-related stuff on here. Next week, I’ll probably add PC-98 Marisa.

Yorihime

Added Watatsuki no Yorihime (from Silent Sinner in Blue) to create.swf. Her sister will probably be added next update. I’ve also added various objects and backgrounds (like that moon background) to the flash. Anyway, this week’s update contains hair color changing!

Press “C” to bring up the colorization menu, where you can adjust the RGB values to change hair color. There’s also an option you can set in the options menu so that hair color stays the same when you change hairstyles on a character. Anyhow, here’s the changelog from Thefre this week:

-Change Hair Colors! Pressing C will bring up the colorize menu for characters.
-The D key will now convert objects into Danmaku Clusters.
-Cluster shot direction can now be made linear or random.
-Cluster spread will alter the cluster’s arc size.
