Create.swf – Hina (Revised)

Added a revised version of Hina to create.swf. I think I actually like the old Hina better (except not the hair), but I guess this is actually a bit more accurate in regards to the hair bow. Anyway, also added a drum set and added inverse colors to bullets (black centers instead of white). Scrollbar colors have also changed slightly (very slightly), so that the scrolling part can actually be seen against the default white background. I think that’s all for this update.

For anyone going to Comiket 77, make sure to visit the Walfas/ddiction booth on December 30th (Day 2) East District ス[Su]-23b! There will be these full-color 32-page textbooks on sale, featuring Touhou’s stage 1-2 characters! Learn English, yeah!

The title is a parody of the New Horizon textbooks. The idea and all the writing and stuff was done by NForza (who you can still buy folders from, by the way!), and I did the artwork. Above is a preview of the cover and two of the pages!

Also special thanks to おひさま (Ohisama, who also did some fanart back in May 2008) for helping out at an earlier Marisa-themed event (that I never actually mentioned on here because I forgot about it until I realized it was already over)! He helped with a preview version of the textbook, scribbling notes and drawings in the margins and on the pictures as if Marisa were writing in the textbook. This preview version will also be distributed for free at C77 for people who purchase the full book.

Yamame Drop

I guess maybe it’s more like a Yamame yo-yo. That would be pretty odd.

Also, calc II and linear algebra finals are done with!! My studying for linear algebra yesterday turned out to be really helpful because some of the harder questions were taken directly from the textbook, and I just happened to study the solutions for those problems! So I basically knew the answers to the ones that everyone thought were hard, as soon as I saw the question. What luck! Calc final was okay; while taking it I thought I was doing pretty well, but while after I finished, I realized I made some careless mistakes. Oh well, just two essays, one project, and one more exam to go until the semester is over!!
