Today was quite a long day. I thought I’d have enough time to do my art project in those two hours between my dismissal time (1:30) and 3:30, when SAT prep starts, but apparently not. That ACT test I was talking about yesterday was actually scheduled for today, and I saw people getting papers during first period telling them to go to the auditorium some time later in the day. I didn’t get one, so I assumed I wasn’t taking it (I gave in the $9.20 fee like… two days ago, and it was supposed to be collected during the first two weeks of October).
So sixth period came, I went to the library and did my homework, and went upstairs for my last class of the day. Well, this lady was waiting outside and she asked me if I knew this one person. I was like “I am that person!” and she told me I could go down to the auditorium to take the test, and I was all “okay” and I didn’t have to go to my last class. I went down to the auditorium, got my test, then realized that I was going to do my art project but the art teacher probably wouldn’t be there after the test ended, so I ran out to get some charcoal and paper so I could do it at home (more on this later).
I took the test, and it was pretty straightforward, but I kept trying to incorporate my SAT prep knowledge when doing the reading section, and I guess that kinda just messed me up because this was not the SAT. Yeah I was only half done with the section when they were like “five minutes left!” and I tried to rush but I couldn’t do it, and I ended up not answering like ten questions. Great. But besides that, it wasn’t that hard.
Then it was time for SAT prep. The instructor came in late (that’s two out of three times!), and then we started learning SAT stuff. It was mostly about essays and how to get a better score and whatnot. Some parts seemed kinda similar to last week, and I was definitely like “I’m pretty sure this already happened” in my mind, especially to some of his jokes. He’s still funny, though. So I got out at 6:30, got home at around 7, took a bath, and then proceeded to do my art project.
I insisted on doing a charcoal drawing of longcat in space, because the theme is supposed to be “dislocation” and I think that’s definitely dislocated. It turns out that I got the wrong type of charcoal (I got vine charcoal instead of… whatever that other one was), and it kinda sucks because it’s not really… that good. It wipes off really easily, so it’s hard to do shades and things like that, but I kinda worked on it for about an hour and finished it.
We actually had about two weeks to work on this, and pretty much all the people I asked yesterday (and today) said that they haven’t done it yet, so I’m not alone in this! Hooray for procrastination! Well, not really. Yeah I guess that’s it.
Long blog is longggggggg
Yay for procrastination! I did a week’s worth of drawing projects in 1 day. >.
ACT is all we have over here in Kansas…
Can we see longcat (who is long) in space?
*Imagines da Kirby hiding in a cardboard box like Solid Snake!*
The ACT’s are becoming more recognized in california! My friend applied to a few colleges using the ACT’s!
LOL ACT’s. CLEARLY INFERIOR!
lol I’ma take the ACT. I’m also hopefully going to get a 35-36 (I got a 33 on a practice one sophomore year, so I’m hoping I can get lucky)
