Perspective

Perspective, yeah! The thing I wrote is actually Jack and the Beanstalk from the perspective of the giant, who is actually a regular sized person who lives above a town of really tiny people. And he’s the town protector! But then he dies because Jack cuts down the beanstalk and everything goes bad because the town has no protector. Oh no! In other news, calculus is still awesome and I found out you can go on MSN at school because Windows Messenger is on every computer.

Oh yeah, it’s also September 11th. Nobody really mentioned it in school, which is weird because it happened in New York. Oh well… nobody mentioned it last year either.

  • Yay, from the beanstalk! n.n

  • You know why they don’t mention September 11th?

BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO FORGET IT, AND THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE TO REMIND YOU!!!

  • We did a moment for silence for half a second for it. >.>
    No student was quiet.

  • I didn’t have any university classes until after lunchtime, so if there was a moment of silence at all, I missed it.

My sister, who still goes to high school, said they had one that lasted all of 2 seconds. We’re not really the patriotic types, but even she thought it was too short.

  • Whoa! Teacher without her glasses! :O That’s news to me.

And seven years… (no, I’m not talking about Link)

  • I say a new bean stalk is planted. :o
And a new protector is stationed at the new bean stalk. :o
The towns folk will miss their old bean stalk and their old protector, while they will never forget the old bean stalk and protector, they will move on~

    :o

  • LOL beanstalk!

Anyway, haven’t you guy heard of EBuddy or similar web-based messengers?

  • well, our moment of silence lasted for only 10 seconds.

Besides, why did you choose a story where something tall falls down on THIS DAY?

  • I found out I could access the Touhou imageboard from school. Curious filters we have.

Also I’m so sure in the real world you could get an A from writing a story through the “eyes” of the beanstalk due to creativity.

  • Beanstalk perspective eh? Interestin

  • @Jan-san
I’m from Canada, and I find it pretty heavy that no one seems to care anymore.

A whole bunch of people dying doesn’t really have to do with patriotism. :\

But perhaps people are just too cynical now.

  • If we go on MSN at college we usually get a warning and go through the disaplinary procedure which is usually being put in a stock tied to chains with the principal whilst being dragged around having things thrown at you in embarrasing heart boxer shorts.

It’s super effective which is why behaviour is always above averge in every part of the college.

  • One of our teachers read us a story about 3 Pigs from the Wolf’s perspective. He just wanted sum sugar for his Granny’s birthday cake, but he had a cold and sneezed their houses down and they died. So he ate their bodies and when he got to the brick house the piggy insulted his Granny and the Wolf got PISSED.

  • That last pic looks all like “PROMOTIONS!”

  • I can understand the beanstalk’s pain….What did it do wrong? It was bought and sold like currency, then thrown out on the streets and left to die. Then from it’s lowly starting point showed all who oppressed it that there were higher aspirations destined for it. Then those that cast him aside used him to better position themselves in life…only to cut him down once they gained their own small fortune.

    Truly a sad tale.

@Anonymous: It’s that kind of spin talk that lands you a job in Fox “News”.

  • i never tried using the messenger i thought they’d block it somehow.
but my school didn’t mention anything about September 11th either, not one teacher or staff member…

Goldilocks, i think my brother spoke to me about that one day… well she is breaking in so eh.

  • Hmm, I had to actually do this exact thing once, and I happened to do it on the Giant in Jack and the beanstalk too. Mine ended up with the poor giant not dying to falling, and in a cave in our world cause since the beanstalk is gone, he couldn’t get back into his world anymore. Alone and miserable…..

The teacher put a comment on how it was too mature for what I should have been writing too… :S

  • On the one hand: “too mature” lol

On the other hand: yay, bad-end isn’t allowed

  • Marissa Stole The 1957 Buick

Now, write a story about one of the Touhou games from the perspective of the danmaku.

Or from Shanghai’s perspective. ……or Cirno.

  • Nah, I’ll just update Scarlet Weather Archive in Japanese Red instead, with Retelling of Scarlet Devil stage 6. ^^

  • Beanstalk T_T

  • @Marissa Stole The 1957 Buick:
At last, it was my turn to be set free,
to pursue that lovely red dot in front of me.
She moved, and my life ended at the hands of a tree.
