Today’s video post consists of… an EWI/Piano video brought to you by Winn, Samidare, and Alioth, that animation project by this group (I don’t really know if it’s okay include it in this post, but it’s up on Nicovideo and hasn’t been removed, so yeah), a PV based on that one COOL&CREATE song with the rabbits, a Hammer version of Cirno’s Perfect Math Class, TAMusic playing Cirno’s theme, a Youmu version of the Night of Nights… thing (I’d say “dance” but it’s not really a dance), a Flandre vs Yuugi video (I’m not really sure why they’re fighting in the first place, but they are), a strange video that utilizes ZUN art (see this also), and a McDonalds version of the most recent Locker Room Production Cirno video (I’m not a big fan of the McDonalds things either but I’ll include it anyway).

Just watched the Remilia on the moon video.
It’s funny because it’s Touhou like: serious and sometimes macabre themes treated in a jokingly manner.

First one was Winn (DOHOHOHO) to greatest degree. Just because of Satori.
Seen already the second one, it’s good until 1:31. Then it goes downhill.
Fourth, well, I thought that it was about different types of hammers (count in jackhammers and several other subclasses) banging different types of materials in a symphony.

If done well, the Donald videos can be fun to listen to. Like the original one of UN Owen was Her?. Others, though, give you seizures. This one was okay. You can tell when the maker focuses on the video rather than the song, as there are tons of Donald inserts, but edited audio clips sometimes sound choppy.

Nothing really interested me aside from the first two and Youmu. Satori EWI is probably the best video here, I didn’t really bother with the other ones, but Winn’s vids are always pretty cool. I might get around to the Reisen one soon, though, because the art style is cool.

You yourself didn’t drive me away from being a fan. Please, don’t be getting a big head here. What drove me away was the fanbase in general. The fans have taken such a simple series, and twisted into what they want it to be. Granted, I never really cared before, but now that you really can’t get away from the fans online, seriously, they’re everywhere, it’s gotten on my nerves quite a lot.
I WAS once a major fan. I was all like, “Lol PAD”, or “Lol 9”, but after awhile, seeing how very few people in the world actually liked such a series, I felt distant from the rest of the world. Eventually, I gave up the series and returned to a normal life. Of course, I never dared to look at Hentai, and it’s astounding how many fans from what I remember are just in it for the hentai.
Also, I’m quite proud of my Pooshlmer ban thank you very much.
Now, if you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to end such a conversation. The only reason I returned here was to see if there was anything to pick me up after a hard day, and while the videos were humorous, I just don’t find them as fun as when I was once a fan.

The series has become, as TVtropes puts it, a Memetic Mutation. ZUN has pretty much crap power to be honest. He establishes little to no personality for the characters, and then he lets the fans unleash hell. May I ask if Alice really is in love with Marisa? No, no she is not, and nothing ZUN has ever said or done points to it. At least, from the gameplay perspective. I acknowledge the fact that Alice is a Tsukkomi, but does Tsukkomi = Lesbian? I think not.
Just my thoughts, but I don’t expect the fanbase to understand.

1) TV Tropes sucks and tries too hard at forcing memes.
2) That’s why we love ZUN, he grants his fans creative freedom even if HE isn’t into the same things his fans are.

Well a flame war did come from it. As for what you said anon, as a “simple series” Touhou attracted the creative minds of many individuals thus creating what you would probably refer to as nefarious and perverted fanbase. We don’t take hentai as canon, we don’t take Alice x Marisa lavu lavu as canon. All they do is fill the whole ZUN left for us, we love Alice, but what sort of person is she really? What’s Yuyuko’s and Youmu’s relationship like? We ask these questions and the only people we can turn to are the fans. We’re aware it’s just for fun, sometimes it’s serious speculation though, only ZUN know for sure, but we just like to give ourselves “what if” questions and then one day look up at the sky and smile thinking “Yeah….. that’d be awesome.”

Okay so I watched the Reisen vid and it is pretty nice. Satori EWI is better but that’s because it’s an EWI and an EWI is automatically the winner. But if we were going for second place than I’d say the Reisen vid would have a good chance on my list. (I still haven’t watched most of the others… except Yuugi-Flan which was okay but would’ve been cooler if the animation was a bit smoother.)
Also Tewi and Kaguya partners in crime is win.
