So today was the first day of college orientation! People had their photos taken today, but I already had a photo ID from the summer course I took, so all I really had to do was get a “Fall” sticker placed on top of the “Summer” sticker that was already there. Anyhow, we got our schedules today, and the good news is that I don’t have classes on Tuesdays and only one class on Thursdays. The bad news is that two out of five days, there’s a class that goes all the way to 8PM! And I thought getting out at 4PM in high school was bad… Oh well, at least there’s a bunch of breaks in between. Though I’m sure I’ll get incredibly bored quickly (or perhaps inundated with work to do). Anyhow, I don’t know yet how this will affect how often I make daily flashes or other stuff, but I guess we’ll see. It’ll probably be a lot harder to keep up though.
And… oh right, photo IDs. Yeah, most people don’t tend to like how their photos turn out. And that’s all.
I bet you were quite da looker in your pic! =3 *winks*
Also, would that be the whole day in school, or just, say, from 4pm to 8pm? Most of my art classes are 4 hour classes, so I’m used to getting out of college around 10pm. That’s life =3
Well, two days off isn’t a bad schedule, KirbyM. Did you get to choose the classes yourself, or do you just get placed into them at your school?
Even with some restrictions on me, I managed to get no classes on Fridays, and I’m done before noon on Tuesday and Wednesday. I have night classes on Monday and Thursday that go until 9PM and 9:30, so there’s always some trade-off… But since I live on campus, it’s no longer much of an issue!
@Jesus159159159: Nah. One whole day of classes all the way to 8PM would be the worst. Actually on Monday, my second class ends at 2PM and then I don’t have another class until 6 to 8PM, so I guess it’s not that bad actually; I have a 4-hour break. On Wednesday it’s a 2-hour break before the 6 to 8PM class.
@Jan-san: Yar, I guess it isn’t that bad; it’ll just take some time for me to get used to. Never had to go to classes past 4PM before, so it’s definitely weird now! But high school schedules are definitely way different from college ones! I would much rather have no classes on Fridays or Mondays, though… that would mean longer weekends, which is always nice.
Longer weekends are good for for a lot, while middle-of-the-week break are better for study-grinding… You should have plenty of time to have fun during those days you have off, though. If you can, register for next semester’s classes early to try and get a premium schedule. Some students even stack all their classes into Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 4-day weekends! (Unfortunately, I am not so lucky…)
Yeah. Breaks are always good. That’s why I always brought my laptop around — so I could go to the library and lounge for hours at a time between classes. :3
@Jan-san: 4-day weekends are awesome! I had them during the summer course I was taking, and it felt like a mini-vacation every week! The fact that the class ended at 12:30ish made it feel more like a 5-day weekend though, because I’d normally wake up at 11-something anyhow.
@MarisaMuffin: I’d bring my laptop around too, if it weren’t so huge (the way I use it, it’s practically like a desktop computer, because I never really move it around, and it has a ton of things connected to it) and if it had a working battery. Been thinking of getting a netbook or something for college, but I think I’ll wait until they start including Windows7 on them rather than Vista. I will see how that works out.

If you have days off it probably means the other days are more dense with classes. You might end up going to campus just to work on stuff, depending on what classes you have.
Yeah, my little bro somehow fit all his classes into Tuesdays and Thursdays one semester. I wasn’t so lucky, not enough sections of engineering classes to get them all in two or three days. Hopefully being your first semester, it won’t be too tough on you (and we can keep enjoying the daily updates =)
I hate my college photo, I look really bad in it. But my mother’s always looks bad in her driver’s licence pictures, it is like they try to make your picture the worst it can be or something!!!
Photo ID? for 6 years, I always wear same shirts each year when to do photo ID, in case that if not enough, got some spare… I just hoping that the camera-holding person would please be able shoot me at center? Always seems I’m slacking off too much…
Damn those photos! Last year, my photo for the… “college” I was going looked like I was some kind of criminal o.O! It’s true, just put a code below the photo and I would be the #XXXXXXXX prisoner XD
Chapter 2 : Cirno goes to college .
What you need to do do is…find a computer lab…get a night pass from the security office….bring a sleeping bag……..play touhou on the big projector screen.
Oh gawd yeash I must play touhou on the big projector screen.
I never like how my photos come out, but that’s prolly because i rarely watch my reflection.
Btw nice hidden message there, people and photos look exactly the same but they wont like it xD
It’s even funnier because today I found out our school photos were being taken on the ninth. Actually, the ninth AND the tenth, but phooey, I never miss a chance to make a nine joke if I can help it.
Ninth and the tenth? sounds like Cirno and Rumia to me xD
Btw the one that had wings suddenly appear when the camera flashed is Cirno, or did you mean someone else with wings?
Bah! I have classes from 8AM to 8PM every thursday with no breaks, and you don’t see me complaining about it (mainly because I’m too busy). Also, I’ve used my 1st university year photo ID for every year, I’m too lazy to ask for a new one.
Haha! In the beginning, I thought Unnamed Character was Cirno, but that was before I understood the idea of the site.
And yeah, I only have one friend who looked good in her college ID, but she wouldn’t agree with me anyway.
I bet you were quite da looker in your pic! =3 *winks*

We all just look plain bad.
Don’t blame the photos.
Accept it.
…That’s it, Random Girl is officially a part of my Touhou universe and will be interacting with Marbiel and Renko in my head post-haste.
