Mean Value Theorem

Yeah, I had no idea where I was going with this one, so it just turned out to be… not very interesting. The idea seemed a lot more interesting in class, I guess. Oh well. It’s just another one of those “applying math concepts to real life situations” things, like this or possibly this (but not really). Anyway, that was the exact “real-life” problem we went over in class today.

The current financial crisis is all because some high school calculus students failed to make a roller coaster function that is differentiable everywhere. Because everyone knows that the economy depends on the success of fictional amusement park roller coasters.

Monsters

Well, I sorta had a lot of homework so this one wasn’t really thought through so well. The frame with the window was actually something from some assignment I just did this weekend, where we had to write about a childhood monster and make a visual. Mine was some sort of murderer guy, like those that you see on the news and they’re like “a murderer is on the loose tonight and blah blah” and I was like “oh no” and whatnot. Yeah.
