Create.swf – Youmu (Revised)

Added a revised version of Youmu to create.swf. Also added two backgrounds and some objects. And as you will most likely see upon opening the updated version of create.swf, Thefre has made some fixes to some bugs (mostly regarding the cloning capsule)!

If there are any other bugs you’ve seen in the past, post a comment in this blog post and this time you’ll most likely get a response other than “I don’t know any actionscript so I can’t fix it.”

Yuki

Added Yuki to create.swf, along with the suggested ??? face and Utsuho’s orb thing. And since the orb was there, it’d be strange not to have an upward-pointing arm thing, so I added it as an object.

In any case, Thefre has come back from a long period of absence, and is taking suggestions for a newer version of create.swf! Go post suggestions on his site here.

Satori

(Better examples of the new features can be found here)

Added Satori Komeiji to create.swf. Thefre has also added the option to insert external images as objects. This can be found by going to the main menu, insert, image, and entering the URL of the image. The imported image can then be resized, rotated, or filtered (blur, grayscale, etc). With this, it’s possible to make your own backgrounds and objects and stuff, and then just insert them into create.swf. In fact, the image above was made in create.swf without any modifications besides cropping the image in paint. Here’s Thefre’s changelog for this week:

=New Features
-MS UI Gothic font is available for Japanese text.
-New Filter option available for snapshots. Accessible from target menu.
-Text colorization is now available.
-Importing external images is now possible from the insert menu.

=Fixes
-Death by Yuyuko’s suction trajectory is now more direct.

Due to flash’s security settings, it is impossible for the online version of the create.swf to import external images from domains other than walfas.org. When importing images from walfas, it is important that the url begins with http://www.walfas.org exactly. If you wish to import images from other locations, then you must download the create.swf and run it locally.

The last part basically means that you have to download the swf if you want to import images from other sites (right-click, save as, and open the file from your computer with a web browser or flash program). However, once you have the swf file on your computer, you can import images from any site, including local directories (directly from your computer) by typing in a valid directory path (ex: “C:folderanother_folderimage.png”). Have fun!

Utsuho

Added Utsuho to create.swf, with a nuclear sector background and a nuclear reactor object. I also made some items/accessories into objects, and added a red oval as an object. Yes, a red oval. Like a pool of fruit punch or something of a similar color. Anyway, here’s Thefre’s changelog:

=New Features
-Shift [ and ] will now cycle through only pinned objects.
-There is now an option to make pinned objects keylocked so that keyboard shortcuts won’t affect them.
-There is now an option to make pinned objects untargetable by mouse click.

Thefre has also made a guide to using the cropper tool to make comics with create.swf!

Kurumi and Luize

Added Kurumi and Luize to create.swf. There’s also a new mouth (slight smile) and object (sign). Other than that, there’s not much else in this update. Here’s Thefre’s changelog:

=New Features
-Ability to spawn presets by putting their name as the DNA for the clone capsule.

Also, I guess Subterranean Animism is out now, so I’ll have a bunch of new characters to update create.swf with in the following weeks.
