Cruises

So here’s an obligatory daily flash about cruises. Since I was on one yesterday. It’s kinda boring though (just like an actual cruise)! Anyway, in unrelated (but actually somewhat related) news, today was the last day of college orientation and we had a 30-minute diagnostic essay-writing thing. Apparently it’s to assess where each of us are as writers, and doesn’t actually affect our grades at all. And once that was over, we got to leave! Actual classes start next Tuesday, but I don’t have classes on Tuesday, so I get to go back on Wednesday (which I guess is Cirno Day)! Now I have five days of no classes! Five! That’s almost… yeah.

Oh wait, I just remembered! It was weird… last night when I was lying in bed trying to sleep, somehow I felt as if the room was rocking back and forth like the boat was earlier. It was weird. Very weird.

College Orientation Cruise

Only after I got home and looked at the pictures did I realize that “Circle Line” sounds much like “Circle Nine.” But anyhow, today after an English class, as part of college orientation, the new students all went on a three-hour cruise that went from 6PM to 9PM.

Photo IDs

So today was the first day of college orientation! People had their photos taken today, but I already had a photo ID from the summer course I took, so all I really had to do was get a “Fall” sticker placed on top of the “Summer” sticker that was already there. Anyhow, we got our schedules today, and the good news is that I don’t have classes on Tuesdays and only one class on Thursdays. The bad news is that two out of five days, there’s a class that goes all the way to 8PM! And I thought getting out at 4PM in high school was bad… Oh well, at least there’s a bunch of breaks in between. Though I’m sure I’ll get incredibly bored quickly (or perhaps inundated with work to do). Anyhow, I don’t know yet how this will affect how often I make daily flashes or other stuff, but I guess we’ll see. It’ll probably be a lot harder to keep up though.

And… oh right, photo IDs. Yeah, most people don’t tend to like how their photos turn out. And that’s all.

Borrowing Pencils

Okay, I don’t really like this one that much, but I just want to say that it’s kinda annoying when people borrow pencils or pens and don’t return them. Usually I start a school year with a full set of brand new pencils, and in a few weeks, I have two or three left. Most of the time I forget to ask people for the pen/pencil back at the end of class, but it should really be the borrower’s responsibility to return it. Sometimes people say things like “I’ll give it back after the next class” but never do, and that’s even more annoying. However, there are some people who will always give a pencil back even after forgetting to do so at the end of class, and they’ll hold on to it until the next time they see you, and those people are awesome.

I don’t know where I’m going with this rant, but I doubt it’s that interesting to most people (reading over it, I realized it probably makes me sound really angry, but it’s more of a minor annoyance, if anything). This didn’t happen recently or anything, but I just thought it needed to be addressed, because it is a very serious problem that runs rampant in a society where people borrow or lend writing utensils. Well, it’s not that serious.

Post-Graduation

Well, it’s not so much about post-graduation as it is about tying up loose ends (I think this is the first time I’ve ever used that phrase) in regards to the daily flash characters graduating from their fictional high school and what will happen after. So actually yeah, I guess it is about post-graduation.

It’s also sorta about when things happen on TV shows but there isn’t an episode about it and it’s just discussed by characters as if it happened. Which of course means that it did happen. Sorta like how there was no Safari Zone episode in the Pokemon TV show (the English version anyway) and in the next episode they just talked about it as if it happened. If that made any sense, and I think it did.

Anyway, there will be no daily flash about the fictional graduation ceremony itself, but rest assured that it did happen. It’s just that nobody really remembers it.
