College Acceptance

This is definitely super-important, so rather than putting it in at the end of today’s other post, it gets its own post!

KirbyM got accepted to college and is speaking in the third person!

I applied early decision to Cooper Union for engineering (The school I was touring in this blog post), and I got in! I opened the envelope and the first thing I saw was the word “congratulations,” and I was all “woahhh!” in my head. It’s four years of free tuition (I think the only thing I have to pay for is a fee of $800 a semester and books), and it’s incredibly selective (I think each graduating class has only 120 people), so I was definitely surprised when I found out.

Super Awesome Videos Post

This weekend had some pretty awesome videos. Here’s a bunch of them.

????????????? ??????- ??Ver. -??VP6/????

(Nicovideo)

Another flash by TETLA POT, starring Nitori. It’s part of Mesopota Road Show, sorta like the Mesopota thing from awhile ago. In addition, there’s also a tennis-danmaku game by Chibitami in there, and a flash by Locker Room Productions. There’s also other stuff but I don’t feel like trying to understand how to access them. It’s a trial version, so it’s not really the full versions of the flashes. The full thing will require paying money, or waiting for an inevitable upload to youtube.

More videos in the full post!

Ellen

Added Ellen to create.swf with a city street background, a window object, and a hands-to-face arms pose object. And uhh… just pretend the grey cat over there is Ellen’s cat, Sokrates.

Parsee EWI

??????15???????????????

(Nicovideo)

Well, as expected, today’s post is about Winn‘s latest EWI video starring Parsee. Excellent stuff yet again!

In other news, today was sports day (This sports day, not that other sports day where we go to Central Park). Our theme was supposed to be ninjas, but most of us just wore our black senior t-shirts (With a blue ’09 on the back! Hooray!). Our grade won (by a huge margin) the first two events: volleyball and boys basketball, and basically lost everything else. In the end, it was a three-way tie between every grade except the freshmen, who won absolutely nothing. Anyway, there weren’t too many year-chants (“twenty-oh-nine!” etc) from the other grades this year, probably because the other years don’t sound as nice (some juniors even said “twenty-oh-ten” but that was just stupid). It was definitely a lot more exciting than previous years, but I guess it’s just because I’m a senior and it was my last sports day at the school.

It also snowed a lot throughout the day, and I was like “yeah!!” but then when school ended, it was raining and the snow was all dark and mushy, and I was like “gosh darn it.”

Average Value

The cool part is that this actually happened. Well, everything except the last few frames. Everyone was yelling and going “woahhhhh” and “woooooooo!” after it happened. That was perhaps the most exciting calculus class ever. For now, anyway. Given how awesome calculus is so far, it can only get more awesome. Did I mention how awesome calculus is?
