The cool part is that this actually happened. Well, everything except the last few frames. Everyone was yelling and going “woahhhhh” and “woooooooo!” after it happened. That was perhaps the most exciting calculus class ever. For now, anyway. Given how awesome calculus is so far, it can only get more awesome. Did I mention how awesome calculus is?
I suspected at first that this flash would be of average quality, but I was gladly proven wrong!
As I sat on the edge of my seat I watched the true epic nature of this flash unfold!
I cried tears of excitement as the bar moved closer and closer to where long haired character predicted where it would be!
This truely was a meaningful moment for me as long haired character maintained her discipline and did not fall under pressure from the other students shouting and calling, she stuck true to her instincts and let her heart guide her true!!
I think I will be forever changed and moved by this, starting now, I am a brand new Pingy~ *tears up*
My calculus is rustier than it should be, but shouldn’t you be able to calculate the exact average value of a function instead of needing to estimate? Or is the teacher just being lose with words?
A lurker appears!
I enjoyed my calc class in high school, but I think it was mostly because the teacher seemed to have the cheery attitude of a kindergarten teacher and that made everything 5 times better.
(And yes, Chain Rule applies…)
The most epic moment in that class was when they had a firedrill right in the middle, and it surprised our teacher so much she literally flipped the chalk halfway across the room and squeaked very loudly… and I think a ruler fell off the blackboard in the process. We spent more time laughing than, you know, exiting the room in a quest fashion.
Every time I see “No way that’s impossible!” I start to think of Tales of Phantasia GBA’s epic dub. Needs more In-dig-NAY-shun and “What da heck is that!?” though.
haha, I wish my high school calc class was like that.
multivariable calc wasn’t too bad imo… I found the part with the trig integrals/trig subs and all related stuff to be very annoying. Apparently, I was one of the few of my nerdy friends that found that more frustrating than anything else. ehehe….
@Chicle: Calculus BC! After sports day activities ended today, we still had to go to our 9th period class (Calculus BC), and we were all in a mood to chant things, so we started chanting “Calc BC! Calc BC! Calc BC!” and banged on our desks.
Also, I’m really surprised I didn’t even think of The Price is Right while making this. Yet for some reason I thought of this being a form gambling in casinos or uhh… like those horse races that people bet money on. But it’s not actually too hard to guess the average value once you know what you’re doing.
Argh. I now have to figure out what you’re talking about with all the math flashes. Stupid tech diploma, I never got past geometry. I miss the hidden panels already. BTW, Kirby, what are you doing for Christmas?
@uguuayu: I’ll probably be staying at home, doing absolutely nothing all day.
Also, I just realized that based the way I drew the function, the average value would actually be lower than what Long-Haired Character predicted. But oh well, nobody else seemed to notice, and I don’t feel like going back and changing it just to be mathematically accurate.
I never really could get into math just for math’s sake but I love math problems that are related to anything in science and engineering.
The math classes I had in HS were anything but fun due to apathetic teachers and a boring atmosphere.
I learned more about math on my own learning to program and in my interests in science then I did in math class.
Awesome!
… awww, no hidden-panels? :x
I expected the newspaper in the end.
That was AWESOME!

I see you’ve given up on secret buttons. Aw well. This comic is so FREAKING AWESOME IT DOESN’T NEED ONE! YEAH!!!!!
No wai thats impossible :O!!!
My calculus is rustier than it should be, but shouldn’t you be able to calculate the exact average value of a function instead of needing to estimate? Or is the teacher just being lose with words?
Actual retail price isssss…. EPIC WIN. =O
THAT WAS AWESOME WOOOOO!
*Victory dances and breaks out the sake*
And all of the sudden, I was reminded of The Price is Right.
BINGO!
That would be nice in my classroom! I’ll ask for an app like that :D
Calculus wasn’t awesome to me when I took it, but you’ve just made it awesome. :P

Awesome news is a new free newspaper with the most important issues of the world.
Very similiar to Price Is Right…
YOU WIN THIS SHINY MEDAL!! But you lost the game.
I did NOT see that NO WAY! THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE! coming.
It looked a lot like The Price is Right as they were shouting Higher and Lower.
Every time I see “No way that’s impossible!” I start to think of Tales of Phantasia GBA’s epic dub. Needs more In-dig-NAY-shun and “What da heck is that!?” though.
Lol Au Sum. XD
I’d like to have known that program when i was in calculous hehe
No way! That’s Impossible! But, it was Awesome!.
You did it again, KirbyM!.
I forget it, yay, auto-buttom!.
Hanyuu is the reporter? Auauuuu~! >w<
…Sorry
…na no desu.
Is this Calc A/B or B/C?
Did I just see Cirno?
Calculus has not been being so Au Sum for me due to external causes not letting me assist classes lately.
But my classes are over for now since yesterday. Yay Yukkurismas \( |ヮ|)/ Santa can’t take it easy.
Man, beats the sh** out of my math class.
Wow, I wish my calculus class was that AWESOME.
Calculus is awesome… until you reach multivar calculus.
haha, I wish my high school calc class was like that.

This comment made me burst out laughing.
