Okay I don’t actually have anything today so I made this lame two-frame animation of Unnamed Character standing next to a breadboard with a blinking LED on it. It’s spring break (and has been since Saturday) but it definitely doesn’t feel like it because of all the homework, essays, reports, and projects and stuff so bleh. Spent practically all of yesterday and today on this digital logic design project (related to that two-frame animation up there), and I’m still not done, aaaagh! Mostly because I couldn’t figure out why the logic gate ICs on the breadboard weren’t working correctly and now I’m guessing it might be because I’m not using the right resistors or something. Oh well I’ll figure it out eventually.
digital logic is the only thing in which I’m pretty good. PROTip: Use pull-up buttons to make it easier to work with, and search some datasheets for the logic gates. Boolean algebra is not that hard (I actually enjoy it!)
So thanks for providing that link about breadboards. That made me almost choke on my tea laughing. Also, I think it’s just be, but when the red light is no longer blinking i’m seeing a trace of green. Like creamy green, I dunno. *sips*
It’s finally spring in Hungary too. Back a few days it was like 0 degrees out there (-18 celsius) but now it’s 62 degrees. Hooray! Even I have the motivation to do my things.
Okay, now I think I have it figured out! I’m using CMOS ICs and didn’t know I had to connect all the inputs to either ground or power, and because I didn’t do that, the inputs were always just random stuff.
@SomethingUnreal: If not because of that, then probably also because once I thought I smelled something burning, and when I touched one of the ICs it was reaaaaally hot so I took it out immediately then realized I put in the battery backwards, so yeah. Gosh darn.
…You should change the background, it’s near the first day of spring anyways (even though it feels like a light summer here). Strange, I still remember last year’s Lily White flash.
@KirbyM and Bitzeralis: She actually looks more addicted to watching it, so addicted that she became sleepier after watching it for so long and her eyes made her look all upset and miserable.
I feel your pain, Kirby. Except it’s not so much homework as it is a huge schedule of dishwashing work times with overwhelming amounts of customers at said workplace.
I’m getting MAYBE three days of an actual break, so long as Sunday stays an off day, and even then, I have to work on homework. March/Spring Break is only a break for elementary students and rich kids…
Unnamed Character does not look satisfied with the light.
WELCOME TO UNI.
@Bitzeralisis: Because it is being inconsistent!! In one frame it’s on, and in the next frame it’s not!! Aaaaaaah!
:<
and yay spring break,
i can't wait,
for myself to take,
awesome walfas bait.
(what)
I wanna sniff Unnamed Character’s bow tie :3
Byakuren is powering the light by flashing her divine glory on and off
It looks like that breadboard is spring broken.
That breadboard light looks like a mushroom :/
I expected a spring breaking.
Fun with race conditions!

Spring? Did i hear Spring? I THINK HEARD SPRING! *calls lily*
such a cute Unnamed Character. Don’t worry, just fix the connections between them ICs

Poor UC! I hope she will somehow come to terms with the breadboard. =o
Oh god sucks for UC. I mean, Lol, I know she has alot of work to do as u do Kirby, but, dang, well, all I can say is, welcome to life.

Also, good luck on solving the problem!
If you were using the wrong resistors, then it’s possible that the ICs are now dead… =/
pretty light goes on and off
Why am I not seeing springs breaking, KirbyM? You disappoint me.
:<
It’s near Autumn in here. Only Shizuka visits me :/

Shame on me x.x

Now that I’ve seen the word “spring”…

I’d better be careful. Lily White always throws danmaku at you at the worst possible time during spring.
*goes in bathroom*
*comes out with dense cloud of danmaku right behind me*
Lol, now you finally figured it out…
Pa *knifed* WHAT!?
I said pass!?!?!

Wahhh, I live in Canada and Spring Break is almost over!
@LOL
I’m a Canadien too, and my break hasn’t even started :<
I am easily amused. Watching the blinking light is fun! 8D
I wish my spring break was here, but I have to wait ’til April.
Light on. Off. On. Off. On. Off. The light never goes out of power.

Oh, right.
Life, death, life, death, life, death, life, death, life, death, life, death…
