Topics

It’s not so much funny as it is true. Sometimes ideas just come to you when you don’t expect them to. I was just lying down yesterday and all of a sudden I thought “lies!” for some reason. So I decided to make that the topic for my English project. Ironically, I couldn’t think of an idea for today’s flash, so I lied down and suddenly thought of making this. Anyway, school is kinda boring now, since there’s pretty much nothing left to do except review for the regents exams (New York High School standardized tests) for physics and U.S. History.

My topic would have been any of the following:

Jellyfish, Evil Death Ray, Carton Of Eggs, January, Sonic The Hedgehog, The Grand Vizier, The Film “Suspira” by Dario Argento, Mexican Jumping Beans, Gerardo Rivera, The Who’s “Tommy”, Jerad from Subway, Clouds, Dairy Queen Blizzard, The Year 1988, Limburger Cheese, The Monster Mash, Chicken Fried Rice, Old Yeller, Hidden Socialist Propaganda in “The Little Engine That Could”, The Record Amount Of Precipitation for August in the 60’s, Bill Lumberg from Office Space, The Thighmaster, Frankenstein, Homestar Runner, WCW Monday Nitro, Super Mario Kart, Starscream, Mountain Dew, or World 8-3 in Super Mario Bros.

The trick would be narrowing it down to one.

  • I once wrote a paper on the Mask of the Phantasm Batman movie.
    That was truly awesome.

  • I always end up writing about human nature and how much it sucks and that’s why the world is at a decline. Either that, life and death.

  • i hate it when i got ideas when i was just trying to get some sleep, it makes me excited that i completely forgot to sleep and stay the whole night working on it and died sleep in class the next morning.
btw, how you gonna write about lies?

  • That happened to me once. For English class we had to free write a story. With no idea what to do, I went to sleep…and then it hit. What if there was a necromancer that was also a travelling baker? Either the teacher grew tired of reading repetitive crap or she couldn’t stop laughing at my absurdly grim story. She gave me an A.

  • I once wrote about how I woke up one day with the ability to summon concrete donkeys and have them drop from as high as one-hundred feet in the air based on where I am standing. Hee haw sound effects as the enormous statues embodied all that is gravity for added awesome.

If you are bored KirbyM, ever considered playing Cave Story? Great fun in pixel form.

  • For my sr. project that could be on any thing i did this

    http://media.putfile.com/Chinas-Theme

And wrote a big long essay on the MBTA and walkabouts.

  • lol multi-genre english project. The academic (noob) classes did that while we had to write an analytical paper :D.

  • This flash was awesome. No lie!

I always had trouble coming up with ideas for non-specific projects too. : (

  • My 12th grade English teacher gave out an extra credit assignment to “make something related to English class in some way.” It was really vague.

I gave her a 22 page, single-spaced work of fiction. On Marisa and Alice. I still don’t believe she read all of it though I got full points.

  • Oh yeah, I can never come up with ideas either … or else I come up with too many ideas ^^;

  • @Mister5050

    Worms is an awesome game.

  • “If you are bored KirbyM, ever considered playing Cave Story? Great fun in pixel form.”

NO NO NO A THOUSAND FUCKING TIMES NO

    DO NOT ENCOURAGE THIS BEHAVIOR

  • I’ve played CaveStory. It was fun until I got up to Hell. That stage was… Hellish. So then I gave up.
