First.
Once I was at the beach six years back, I worked on a badly made sandcastle someone else abandoned. It turned out huge, then more and more people joined in and soon the whole beach was one big project. Sweet.

I can’t even remember last time I went, but I know for a fact it was with a friend, taking his dogs out for walkies. I still want to go now, if not for sandcastles then Fish and Chips and the Arcades with Coin Cascade.

That’s why you have to build retaining walls and drainage. I purposely build mine closer to the water for the challenge. Granted I haven’t been to the ocean in two years even though I live and work less than a mile away…

@tre: You know, I thought of fishing before sandcastles. I just made this one first because it seems like more of a summery thing, and needed a reason for them to be at the beach (although I could’ve just made Unnamed Character say “Let’s go fishing at the beach!” and it wouldn’t have been too different).
I was going to end the loop after a certain amount of clicks, but I didn’t have time to do it because I made this right before I went to sleep.

It would probably be impossible to actually draw unnamed character in a swimsuit, since basically her body is essentially a triangle. There probably really is no way to actually make it work.

I’m at the age where rather than build sandcastles, going to the beach means digging a pit and burying someone in it up to their neck. Standing up. It’s pretty hard to get out of.
Summer is the time for sandmen and sandball fights!
Whenever I see any work of fiction where people are building sand castles, I always see large castles and no visible holes or anything where the sand came from. I know the beach has sand everywhere, but am I the only one who thinks these people would be too lazy to evenly collect sand from all over the beach rather than just digging out a pit worth of sand nearby? Maybe beach sand works in mysterious ways and I’m just not aware of it because I never go there.

Once I created this super tough wall that even I couldn’t destroy by kicking/stomping/whatever. It probably had something to do with the rocks inside.

But I think that yes, for that to happen, they would have to be drawn in the aforementioned manga style.
I could probably give it a shot sometime, as I’ve been known to draw a little every now and then. But I’m also known to be sorta lazy when it comes to drawing, as well.
Thefre’s been making a perfectly acceptable stab at it, I think.
my most beloved activities in the beach,when only i was a little girl,was make sandcastles (sandcakes,in really XD) and very very deep holes and put water in it.
