First day of school

Today was a bad first day. Well, not so much of a bad first day as it is a bad rest-of-the-year. The biggest change is the addition of 10th period classes (we used to have only 8 periods a day, with the occasional 9th). Normal school dismissal time was at around 2:15, but now with all these classes and 10th period, my school day ends at almost 4pm. I guess the only good news about that is that I get to start school at around 9am (an hour later than previous years). Lunch got pushed forward to 10:30am, which is weird because who eats lunch at 10:30 in the morning anyway? In any case, since school ends at around 4, that’d be five and a half hours without eating stuff, so most people are probably going to get hungry again. Now that I think about it, there’s too much stuff for me to complain about, and I don’t really feel like doing that now, so I guess I’ll just leave it at that for the moment.

Anyway, the drawings and handwriting in the flash might look a bit different because I’m on my laptop now, and I’m using a smaller wireless mouse, so it feels different.

RANDOM MEANINGLESS OUTBURST THAT DIRECTLY RELATES TO NOTHING!

  • lol my school starting time was switched with yours

It used to be 9AM for me, this year it’s 8AM

  • My school goes from 9AM-3:24PM

  • I’m just in college and stuff. We make our own schedules. |3

  • Lunch in the morning? I took breakfast at 2am once, does that count?

  • For my job, on working days, I wake up at 2am, eat breakfast at 0205, eat lunch at 8am, eat a second lunch between 1200-3pm, and eat dinner at 7pm.

Who needs a normal routine any more? @_@?

  • Class starts at 8:30am, lunch is at 11:40am until 1:30pm, and then classes end at 3:30pm. College. :p

  • Days start 8:25am.

    Usually end 2:55pm.

    Lunch is usually 12:45pm.

Except on Thursdays, where it’s 12:05pm, because they’re short days for me.

Additionally, I’ll be taking Chem AP, and that takes place in a block outside the regular time table, though I haven’t confirmed when it is exactly. But it should be every Tuesday, Thursday, and every other Friday, either during the hour before school starts, or the hour after school starts.

  • WAIT!, is 10th period like… 10th class or something?

  • That sudden “You’re right” reaction is just too familiar. But usually it feels pretty natural to go to school again after a week or so.

  • “Not really…”

  • 10 classes!? What? That’s less than an hour per class each day! They must really rush you to make you learn all of the standards.

For me it’s start at 7:35, lunch at 11:10-11:50, end at 3:15. 7 classes total.

  • For me it’s … one class on Monday and Wednesday, two on Tuesday and Thursday. |3

And I’m about to get jobbed as well. Plus a not-quite-internship-thingy where I correct homework from a 100-level class. (I’m a senior-and-a-half right now.)

  • man, what kind of retarded lunch is that…10:30

  • You’re not the only one, the high school I graduated from has undergone some schedule changing as well as extensive construction… they even built three rows of temporary portables to accommodate the classes being knocked down.

As for the college I’m attending, they’ve rebuilt a few structures and traffic has been horrid all day long lol…
Just wait till you get to college and everyone decides to drive to school..

  • I totally screwed up my schedule in college. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I managed to get a 7 and a half hour break between two classes and since I live off campus, I get to stay on campus for about 10 hours straight. It’d be nice if I could find a place to nap during that time…

  • Im taking japanese and computer science! i love college

  • Oh how freshman in college have the easiest classes. Do understand that the Spring semester will be the most brutal though. Professors tend to give out tests after Spring Break…

  • Today was my first day of school too!

  • woooow 10 periods? That’s a LOT. I think I can say I have the least amount of periods, with 4 classes, 8:25 – 2:40 with an hour lunch at 11:05.

  • My school is 8:45 to 2:45!

  • Why does everyone start so late? I have to be in class at 7:25. But at least I get out at 2:12 (Why 12 instead of 10 or 15?) Also this year they changed the bell from a pleasant four tone sequence to an onminous DONG….DONG….DONG.

  • Guess what time I have to get up?
Really, really early. It takes like an hour to get to school so I have to wake up like 5:40 AM. School starts at maybe 7:30, but yeah. D:

  • lol my school starts at 7:45, but we have Green (even periods) and Gold (odd periods) days. But the periods are long as long cat :3. Like 90 minutes, but we get out at like… 1:40.

  • Teachers look all the same.

They must be either clones, or aliens, or mass-produced androids.

  • Or, quindecaplets with the same dreams.

  • My first day of school was basically….
Teacher: Hello everyone welcome back from your summer break which also means no more summer break get focused.
    Random guy: *snooore*

  • Well, 10 periods isn’t 10 classes, exactly. It just specifies an amount of time; for us, one period is around 43 minutes (with two or three minutes to get to your next class). Individual classes usually take up one period a day, and on certain days there will be double-period classes. Lunch counts as 4th period, and I don’t have school first period, so it’d actually be 8 periods if you don’t include those. But people usually do.

  • You did it on purpose to confuse me didn’t you?

  • Eh…. I didn’t understand that thing about the 10 periods that actually are 8 or something like that. But, you know, to starv is so much fun =D I always do so ^^. Like, two sandwich’s for all the college schedule, so I have to eat a one or one and a half for breakfast after the first class, and the rest for the lunch like two classes after. (Each class = 45min~)

  • Etto… my mistake. Each class are around 1 hour and half ._. So, normally I take the breakfast around 10 am

  • I can’t even tell how many periods I have in school what with some half period contraption my school uses where the bell rings in the middle of class. Thus you have to remember it’s not for you and stay planted in your seat. But including lunch it seems to be eight classes.

For my senior year’s first day, it’s kinda sad since I’ve been separated from a lot of my friends. They qualified for the god tier classes while a slacker reaper like me is stuck one half step bellow them in slightly weaker honors courses and such.
