Well uhh… today’s create.swf is a really minor one. It’s getting increasingly hard to find reference images of characters now (since the only ones left are PC-98 characters), so I didn’t actually add a character this time. I tried Kurumi as someone suggested, but I really couldn’t really find any images to base it on. Oh well, added Evil Eye Sigma, Sanae’s spatula-stick thing, and heterochromic eyes. Maybe I should just start redrawing the earlier characters next time, because they look kinda bleh compared to the recent ones, and it’s kinda strange for the obscure characters to look better than the ones that show up all the time.

Anyhow, for the document-based essay, the prompt was to argue for or against the abolishment of the penny. It seemed really silly for an essay topic, and a bunch of people started laughing after seeing it. What was really funny was the last document: some scanned images of pennies, heads and tails. I was just wondering how someone would even use that source to support their argument.
One of the sources was about some internet group that advocated for the “retirement of the penny”, and it was also pretty silly. There was some guy named Jeff Gore who was like “pennies waste valuable time,” yet spends his time creating a site and coming up with these calculations for how much time and money are wasted yearly by pennies, which apparently comes to $10 billion a year. The argument he makes can be found on the site (scroll all the way down), word-for-word as it was seen on the AP exam. It’s just really silly, and although pennies are annoying, I don’t like that guy’s reasoning. Anyway, I thought I wrote a pretty good essay for that prompt. I really liked it, despite how silly it was (I kinda made fun of that Jeff Gore guy a bit).
Oh well, AP exams are over for me now, which is nice. Next year, I have four AP exams to look forward to (statistics, calculus, physics, English literature). Greeeeat.
I guess I’ll update create.swf tomorrow. If you have any suggestions for new items, accessories, backgrounds, etc, and character, that’d be nice.
Edit: Oh yeah, and here’s a Touhou SRPG concept by Fawkes using characters from create.swf. Yay.
Darn it, darn it, darn it. I really wanna talk about the AP exams, but there’s that whole rule about how you can’t talk about the contents of the exam until 48 hours after the test. I don’t wanna get sued or anything. I guess I’ll do it on Friday. I made a flash about it, although there’s no real joke (the joke is in what actually happened). I think anyone who took the AP English Language and Composition exam today will know what I’m talking about. The document-based essay, that is. Oh, you know, that. A bunch of people laughed when they saw that essay prompt and the last source, including myself. Anyway, can’t post the flash or talk about the exam today, sorry. I reaaaaaally want to, though. It’s so silly!
