Create.swf – Flandre (Revised)

Added a revised version of Flandre to create.swf. For some reason, the hat and the hair look a bit strange to me, but I guess that might just be because I’m so used to seeing the older version(s) of Flandre, especially the one from the Touhou flashes. I spent awhile changing the hair around, but it still looks strange to me. Here’s an earlier version of the preview screenshot; I don’t know why I decided to flip the positioning around in the final one, but basically the only real difference is revised Flandre’s hair.

I might end up doing another revision some time in the future (unless most people think it looks fine, then I guess I’ll just leave it). Anyway, I think the hat looks more like a Remilia hat than a Flandre hat (again, probably because I’m used to the older hat), so when I revise Remilia, I might use this hat as hers, and make another one for Flandre.

Unnecessary Research

A recent study shows that this daily flash is based on all those random surveys/studies about stuff that should be fairly obvious to anyone with common sense (like this research study). Anyway, I spent way too much time making this daily flash. At first, you might not realize why, until you go back to rewatch it (for lack of a better word).

Acceptance Speeches

Wow, just… wow, I never in my life expected to have the opportunity to make a speech about making a daily flash about a generic character making an acceptance speech. I don’t know what to say, I’m so surprised to have the honor… I’d like to thank this generic character, who taught me indirectly that it doesn’t matter how long you go without making a daily flash about acceptance speeches, that it’ll happen sooner or later if you work hard to achieve this goal. I’d also like to thank this Wacom tablet, because without it, I know this wouldn’t have been as easy to do. And of course, I’d like to thank the pen stylus thing that came with the tablet, because we all know they’re a team, and can’t work without each other. Both of them taught me the power of teamwork, and that is the most important… what do you mean I’m out of time? No one told me about a length restric

Palm Readings

Before looking up “palm reading” on Wikipedia a few minutes ago, I had no idea it was called “chiromancy” too. And yes, this is basically the same as the thing from the flash about piano playing, but without a piano or the extra reactions.

As you can probably tell, I didn’t spend that much time on this, and that’s because I ended up wasting about five hours on TVTropes again. Completely unrelated to the flash, but as a result of a small part of those five hours, the good news is that now I know a bunch of movie/TV-show/book/etc lines that are often misquoted, and I can be that annoying person that points out common misquotations when they are said. Actually, I guess this page on Wikiquote (found after a quick Google search for “misquotations”) is a more comprehensive list and hopefully won’t lead to people wasting five hours reading other articles on the same site.
