Spring Break

Okay I don’t actually have anything today so I made this lame two-frame animation of Unnamed Character standing next to a breadboard with a blinking LED on it. It’s spring break (and has been since Saturday) but it definitely doesn’t feel like it because of all the homework, essays, reports, and projects and stuff so bleh. Spent practically all of yesterday and today on this digital logic design project (related to that two-frame animation up there), and I’m still not done, aaaagh! Mostly because I couldn’t figure out why the logic gate ICs on the breadboard weren’t working correctly and now I’m guessing it might be because I’m not using the right resistors or something. Oh well I’ll figure it out eventually.

Integrating Factors

?=?e^[P(x)]dx (Though Wikipedia appears to use different variable names). This math pun was a result of me studying for a differential equations exam that I have tomorrow.

Retrievers

Last Wednesday in chem lab, after using the magnetic stirrer, I forgot the magnet was still in the beaker, so I accidentally dumped it into the chemical waste storage along with the rest of the contents of the beaker. I heard the sound of it falling in, and then I thought “did I really just do that?” and so later I had to use the retriever to get it back from the chemical waste storage container. But this week, I actually remembered to take the magnet out of the beakers before dumping the contents, hooray!

Also, this is relevant to the daily flash.

Ideal Pulleys

Someone asked something like this and it was an actual response. Also suggested was the idea that the pulley and string were made of light and this was on an atomic level but I’m not sure if that would work at all. But the only logical solution is that it is magic.

Mils Conversation

Based on a phone conversation with Miluda while I was in California. True story. Also this does not count as a daily flash because clearly it does not have a title frame.

In other news, today was the first Monday of the semester, and I had to carry three textbooks all the way to school! And it was raining a whole lot. And I was sitting in an uncomfortable position on the subway because I had so much stuff with me and the train was really crowded. And then when transferring trains, I ended up walking to the wrong platform, and upon walking to the correct one, had to wait ten minutes for the train to arrive. Getting out of the train station, I had to run in the rain because I had too much stuff to take my umbrella out and I was already late for class. Got to class ten minutes late, but fortunately it had only been review so far. That’s the bad part of the day. However, the three-hour class that was supposed to end at 8PM got cut short and ended at 6PM because the professor had to be somewhere. So it ended up being a good day after all.
