Things

Just a bunch of random drawings. It’s fun to make stuff like this once in awhile.

Perspective

Perspective, yeah! The thing I wrote is actually Jack and the Beanstalk from the perspective of the giant, who is actually a regular sized person who lives above a town of really tiny people. And he’s the town protector! But then he dies because Jack cuts down the beanstalk and everything goes bad because the town has no protector. Oh no! In other news, calculus is still awesome and I found out you can go on MSN at school because Windows Messenger is on every computer.

Oh yeah, it’s also September 11th. Nobody really mentioned it in school, which is weird because it happened in New York. Oh well… nobody mentioned it last year either.

Breakfast

First period is “breakfast” for me, and when I first got the schedule yesterday, it was like “why is breakfast on this class schedule?” I found out that it just means you don’t have to be in school for that period. But it would be interesting to have an actual breakfast class. Just like how I joke about having a lunch class because “lunch” is on the schedule and has an assigned room as well (the cafeteria, although we don’t have to stay in there). Yeah. Anyway, today didn’t seem as long of a day as yesterday, probably because I got to go in at around 9am instead of 8:13 like yesterday. Some of the people in my grade have gym at zero period (starts at like 7:30 or something), and I felt lucky that I didn’t have gym in my schedule. But unfortunately, when the second semester starts, apparently we’ll be having gym and they don’t.

First day of school

Today was a bad first day. Well, not so much of a bad first day as it is a bad rest-of-the-year. The biggest change is the addition of 10th period classes (we used to have only 8 periods a day, with the occasional 9th). Normal school dismissal time was at around 2:15, but now with all these classes and 10th period, my school day ends at almost 4pm. I guess the only good news about that is that I get to start school at around 9am (an hour later than previous years). Lunch got pushed forward to 10:30am, which is weird because who eats lunch at 10:30 in the morning anyway? In any case, since school ends at around 4, that’d be five and a half hours without eating stuff, so most people are probably going to get hungry again. Now that I think about it, there’s too much stuff for me to complain about, and I don’t really feel like doing that now, so I guess I’ll just leave it at that for the moment.

Anyway, the drawings and handwriting in the flash might look a bit different because I’m on my laptop now, and I’m using a smaller wireless mouse, so it feels different.

Laptops

Well, yesterday I wanted to go to Staples to buy new earphones because my good ones broke, and my dad was like “let’s buy a laptop.” Normally, I’d say that I want to wait until college to get one, because by that time, the laptops are probably going to be a lot better and cost a lot less. But apparently it was my uncle who suggested it because I use his computer all the time on weekdays and he wants me to get my own. So now I have a new laptop! It has 4GB of RAM, which is like… 8 times more than what I have on my desktop computer, which is awesome.
