Happy 200⑨!

Yeah! All right! Welcome to 200?, the year of the ice fairy!

Parents

For some reason, when making this daily flash, the only series that came to my mind were ones where the protagonist does have parents who appear onscreen. Strange.

Anyway, I started watching Sketchbook a few days ago, and I like it. Coincidentally, as far as I’ve seen, there are no parents in this series either. There was one episode where I thought there was a parent, but it turned out to be an older sister. How suspicious…

Envelopes

They should totally make envelopes where the sealing part tastes like fruit or something. Unless those already exist, that is. And actually, I’m sure they do exist, but I just haven’t seen any. Why haven’t I seen any?

Anyway, I got my December SAT II results back today, and I did way better since I actually bothered studying this time. This time, I got a 750 in physics (compared to a 640 last month) and a 770 in math 2 (compared to a 750 last month). I didn’t really study for math this time either, but I still got a better score; probably because I was more used to the amount of time given. Oh well, the scores don’t really even matter anymore, but it’s just nice to know that I can do way better than a 640. In other news, winter break, hooray!

Average Value

The cool part is that this actually happened. Well, everything except the last few frames. Everyone was yelling and going “woahhhhh” and “woooooooo!” after it happened. That was perhaps the most exciting calculus class ever. For now, anyway. Given how awesome calculus is so far, it can only get more awesome. Did I mention how awesome calculus is?

Newspapers

Well, this one turned out way differently than what I had originally planned. The newspaper in here is a reference to AM New York, a free newspaper that they hand out around subway stations in the morning. Since it’s free, they get their money from advertising, and there are a ton of ads all over the newspaper. Most people just take a newspaper from whoever is passing them out, and then throw it away when they get to the nearest trash can. Last year when I used to go to school at a normal time (as in “not zero-period gym”), I’d often see these newspapers littered all over the sidewalk/street floor, on stairs, on subway seats, and especially around the trash can right outside the subway station entrance. Uhh… where was I going with this again? I have no idea. Oh yeah, we also took our senior portraits today. The waiting took forever.

Anyway, added Collateral Damage Studios to the links on the right. It has artwork and stuff. Yeah!

Update: Someone made a Japanese translation of this daily flash on Nicovideo.
