Ah yes, “staff development day.” Nobody really knows what it is, but nobody questions it because we don’t have to go to school. Anyway, there were some problems with the site before (some error message, then a rollback), but I guess they’re fixed now… hopefully. I spent most of the afternoon fixing stuff on different parts of the site, and not so much time on making today’s flash. Oh well. Sometimes it’s good when stuff goes wrong, because then I learn how to fix it. Today, I learned how to upload large SQL files without experiencing timeout errors! Yay!
You know… I think I actually learn a lot more when I make flashes about these kinds of things. Because when I do, I actually look up the historical event on the internet and read through it to get a basic understanding of what happened (and then I go ahead and disregard what I just read, making it as historically-inaccurate as necessary). Although of course, I pretty much only use Wikipedia, so as far as I know, this might have actually happened. But anyway, that’s besides the point. Alexander Hamilton was a bank guy. Yep, bank guy.
Hit my face on one of those big subway turnstiles (the ones that are like revolving doors, except not doors) today by going too fast. Kinda hurt. At least there’s no mark or anything.
It’s not so much funny as it is true. Sometimes ideas just come to you when you don’t expect them to. I was just lying down yesterday and all of a sudden I thought “lies!” for some reason. So I decided to make that the topic for my English project. Ironically, I couldn’t think of an idea for today’s flash, so I lied down and suddenly thought of making this. Anyway, school is kinda boring now, since there’s pretty much nothing left to do except review for the regents exams (New York High School standardized tests) for physics and U.S. History.
